We went to this Puleo's because it was near by our motel, and we wound up having a great meal, huge portions, very reasonably priced, and quite friendly. The restaurant was mostly empty after 8:30 on a Tuesday night, but the service was efficient and welcoming. We both had enormous kale salads. Very fresh and crisp and satisfying even though the dressing was a little sweet. We really didn't need anything else to eat, but my husband had fried green tomatoes, which he rated as very good, and also a generous serving. He also had tuna tacos, and found the tuna quite good (plus ginger slices and wasabi), but the taco shell was below par. I had the tuna dinner, properly rare, large piece of quality tuna, excellent asparagus and sensational & unique cole slaw, with red & white cabbage, sunflower seeds, and a few bits of fried linguine. Wow, what a satisfying combination and not swimming in mayo. The beer and wine were also good and, again, a very generous pour on the wine. We were delighted and would definitely return next time we come through Knoxville.
