Good food, good environment. Great location. They give you a good portion. There is no skimping on the portions.

Found this gem thanks to Trip Advisor when traveling. I love a good meat and three type place! We got there at 12:40 on a Sunday but the line moved quickly. This is a buffet style establishment but the staff puts it on the plate (so no worries about everyone touching the food or sneezing in it). You have a choice of four meats and several veggie choices. We all had the fried chicken. You can choose white or dark meat. I had a fried chicken leg, wing, macaroni and cheese, squash, and banana pudding. It was a ton of food! I could not finish it all. Some of the local people kept asking for half plates? I think it's half portions for a less price. May want to ask about that unless you are super hungry. The chicken... Amazing! Very crisp, tender, and not greasy. The squash... Delicious and perfectly seasoned. The macaroni and cheese was tasty/creamy and had a minor bit of spice to it. My favorite was the banana pudding with real meringue. My only compliant was I only had one banana slice in it, but the flavor was there with tons of nila wafers. It was very sweet, so if you don't have a large sweet tooth, you may want to skip it. My whole family enjoyed their meals and left very full. Glad we stopped in and would love to go back! Plus the area around the restaurant is very cute.

The fried chicken is as good as any that I've ever eaten. Catfish Friday is another great treat. Great portions and wonderful friendly service.

We love Cool Cafe! The owner's just as nice as can be, and the food is delicious as is evident by the line out the door every time we go! Kids love the mac n cheese (actually, we ALL do), the seasoning on their fried chicken is yummy, and their lemon chicken is one of my favorites! They change the menu daily, so not everything is offered every day, but it's always good. Hubs loves their meatloaf too! Oh, and their broccoli salad side dish is also tasty. We go there regularly and it's about as consistent as they come. Good food, great people. Enjoy!
