Loved that it was so secluded and peaceful just wish the jacuzzi tub worked and the hot tub was cleaner.
The cabin was full of ants. Ants on our food. Ants on our belongings. Ants on the countertops. Centipedes everywhere as well as crickets.
We rented this cabin for this weekend . At 3am I was awaken by being eaten by bed bugs. We had to take our 13 people and move them to a hotel. After we spent several hundred dollars to clean our belonging at our expense. Trip advisors did not refund the full amount deducting $100 booking fee and comission fee that is not refundable.
I called an exterminator about bed bugs. To take these critter home with you. Here's what it will cost you.
Everything needs to be heat treated.
Vehicles need to be vacuumed thoroughly. Hot car isn't good enough. Laundromat cleaning $200.
The cost if we get them out of your house is:
$250 exam fee
$500 per room
Very expensive to treat. Please keep shopping for a cabin. The owners will not help you financially. The expense is yours!! Needless to say I was pissed.
im not sure if I would stay here again. The fourth bedroom was attached to the cabin but you had to exit the cabin to enter the bedroom. When you have kids and since the room was full of bunk beds, this is scary. The place was nice and clean except for the blueberry that was left in the drain and we had to deal with ants in the kitchen the whole time.
My husband and I were looking for a secluded cabin that we could stay in for our trip to Tennessee. We searched and searched and came upon Carrie's Cabin. It sounded perfect and the price was better than most so we rented it. We booked it late at night and by the next day we already had our rental agreement and deposit receipt in hand. When we arrived we followed the directions given by the staff and they were perfect, no problems finding the place. Keep in mind it is off the beaten path. We opened the door to an immaculate cabin. It smelled freshly cleaned. The kitchen was a perfect size and I loved the open floor plan to everything, especially since we traveled with a 3 year old that I wanted to keep an eye on. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. We only utilized the two rooms on the top floor. The bottom bedroom was our catch all and we never used the side with the bunk beds. No closets in the upstairs two bedrooms but they did have a small armoire that did the job. We spent the majority of our days away but there was satellite TV available to keep the little one occupied for a couple of hours at night. The hot tub feature was nice but we didn't use it very much. We were within 20 minutes to all major stores and restaurants and the scenic views were gorgeous. The seclusion was the best part and the morning mountain view was amazing since I come from a very "flat" state. I do wish we had a little bigger open area for our son to play but by no means was it a problem. All in all we were very happy and will be visiting and renting this cabin again.
