Description: "The Firehouse," as it is called by locals, is one of the city's most unique and interesting landmarks. -Housed within the original Rapid City firehouse, a structure built of four layer brick in 1915, the building is listed on the National Historic Register. We offer a full service restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor dining. Experience a vibrant atmosphere with live entertainment by local musicians in addition to live theatre most Friday and Saturday evenings (view our website for a list of upcoming events). Of course, the Main attraction at the Firehouse is our uniquely flavored, hand crafted beers along with a menu of the Midwest's favorite dishes. With culinary selections ranging from salads and BBQ to buffalo and gumbo, there is something for everyone at the Firehouse Brewing Company.

Firehouse Brewing Co. caught our attention with the many billboards with actual firetrucks accompanying them on the side of the highway. The building is an old fire station turned brewery. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We tried a few glasses of wine before buying one. The dining area is small and modest. The entire place was clean.

We would highly recommend stopping there for a pint. The food was wonderful and quick and the beer was very tasty. We will definitely be back.

My date's beer was brought without a coaster and with the slightest accidental nudge, the entire glass slid off the wet table and onto the floor. Though the server did bring a replacement, we were surprised that he NEVER cleaned it up but left the beer all over the floor for the rest of the time we were there. As we got up to leave, he seated a couple across the aisle where they had to tip-toe around the beer to get to their table.
The hot artichoke dip was good, but we had not intended to stay for dinner.
Another eatery with a deafening atmosphere on the main floor. thankfully, it was quieter upstairs where we asked to be seated.

I had the half sandwich soup combo and the gorgonzala ale cheese soup was great, the sandwich was good but average. If you like smoky flavors though you have to try the Smokin Betty brew, it was so good and left me wanting more. Hope they have it on tap next time I'm there!

Stayed in rapid city for 3 nights & visited the firehouse brewing company on 2 if the nights.
We found the food tasty, extremely filling & not bad value. We had ribs & Cobb salad the first time & chicken with sausage & rib the 2nd time.
Didn't like being asked if we wanted desserts before we finished eating our mains.
