“Friendly Staff - Nice course”
Reviewed 21 August 2011

Past two years have played course on stop over to Nags Head beach vacation. The staff is very accomodating as my being a single player, they easily find a twosome or threesome to place me with. The conditioning of the course is excellent & the course layout is a good one. Fun to play and does not excessively punish the average player. Always look forward to our stop over in Santee.

“Attitude please.”
Reviewed 6 April 2008

My three sons and I all agreed that this was the least favourite of the four golf courses we played the first week of April 2008. It all started with the pro shop service the day before when we wanted to use the range. We saw mats on the range and inquired if we could hit off the grass, although the response was affirmative the attitude sucked. We felt as though our request was going to harm their range. The following day the attitude wasn't much better when we inquired about demoing some clubs ( I bought a new driver on this trip and one son bought a new gap wedge). They should take care of their course as well as they implied they looked after the range. The greens were dry and hard and the fairways covered with grass clippings. I work on a golf course during our Canadian summers so I know that grass clippings will only be noticeable if you leave the grass too long between cuttings and/or your mower is not mulching properly.
