This was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast and we totally enjoyed it! Being our 22nd wedding anniversary, my husband ordered the extra package of roses, choc. covered strawberries and champagne. :)

The grounds of this 1892 farm house are beautiful, the home is charming and quaint and the hospitality was so top notch! We loved the 2 course breakfast in the beautiful dinning room. Some of our favorite foods were the strawberry bread, frittatas (similar to quiche with no crust) and the homemade cookies! :)

The owners of the home were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and directions. They made our experience so much more than just a place to sleep. So peaceful! Great people! :)

As if being being within a very short drive to one of the most beautiful mountain lakes is not enough, you have this charming country inn with cozy rooms and the most wonderful pampering innkeepers you could ask for. We really loved the surroundings and the ponies and other livestock there. And what can I say about the breakfast? Simply perfection from the fresh ground coffee to the gourmet quiche and fresh baked breads. It just happened to be our anniversary week and our room had red roses and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. Anyone looking for a relaxing weekend or have a special day to celebrate should come here. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
ps. It has a red tin roof and if there's rain....it is so soothing you will not want to get up!!!

Julie is a fantastic host. She made our stay very special. She keeps the place sparkling clean. Her breakfast is the mornings are delicious. The bed is very comfortable and the setting is very relaxing. We especially liked going on the porch and watching the hummingbirds flying. The goats, Lammas, and pigs keep you entertained too. We will come back because it was such a pleasant experience. Thank you, Julie.

We chose this countryside farm setting as our stop-off to enjoy the solar eclipse, as it is located in the path of total eclipse. We arrived on the day of the eclipse, where we found other photographers already set up and planning their experience. They had booked their reservations at least a year in advance and were returning guests. This was our first stay at Sunrise Farm B&B. Over the next three days, we became friends with a nice group of people who, like us, were in search of a quiet, rural retreat. Our hosts, Jeff and Julie Pierce, are very attentive to details and in providing their guests with a comfortable setting, delicious breakfasts, well documented instructions to nearby sights and even walking sticks to make our hikes safer. They are experts at running a first class B&B.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose Garden cottage, which has a totally equipped kitchen, large living room, large...

Lovely couple, Jeff and Julie, run this very nice property that I selected because it was slap in the middle of the eclipse path. Breakfasts were gourmet. Might return in the fall for the leaves. It is close to two beautiful lakes, Jocassee and Keowee.
