Golf course very challenging and in very good condition. Pro shop staff and course staff excellent.
Accomodations in 2 bedroom villa on course are very spacious, neat and clean. When call was made to assist with wifi connection, they responded in very expeditious manner and resolved problem. Everything in excellent condition and very comfortable. Very worthy of a visit.

The back nine part 3s in the marsh are worth the trip alone. Really good golf course but local knowledge would be a help the first time. Staff very inviting and friendly. Course is fair but care is needed approaching the greens

Apparently, Pawley's Plantation merged with Litchfield 8 months ago. When we arrived at Pawley's, we were told to drive 5 miles back to Litchfield to register--someone should have told us before we arrived. They couldn't establish a computer and connection at Pawley's?
Then we learned that for our stay-Thursday thru Sunday, no change of sheets & towels during that time.
Suite was nice but severely outdated with small old tube tv's and archaic furniture.
Grill room was nice with pleasant service--entire staff very friendly.

Playing Pawley's was great. The course takes you out to the marsh lands. Fairways in great shape; greens were fast. Buy the yardage book to understand the holes.

After a long drive the last thing anyone should have to do is turn around and drive back 7 miles to another property (in this case Litchfield Resort. But, that is exactly what I had to do. Then I had to wait in line once I finally got there. And then drive back to Pawleys with a paper map directing me around a pitch-black property. Ridiculous.

Room was dated (90's style) when pastels and tile work was in, and was complimented by dusty fixtures and stained furniture/comforters. Shower water temperature nearly scalded me. Clubhouse had Palmetto critters longer than the average human index finger parading around like permanent residents. Gross.

But the biggest insult came the second morning of my stay when the 'Golf Maintenance Crew' started working at 5:30am. (See picture) Woke me up out of a sound sleep to which I could not return due to all the loud machinery traversing back and forth until 7:45am. Terrible.

Pool was decent-sized and pretty clean. Daytime views of the property were pretty nice too. I didn't Golf or dine at Pawleys, so I don't have an opinion on that. Bottom line? Next time I visit the area, I'm going to stay with a chain hotel instead.

One of the toughest courses on the southside of Myrtle. Hard to hit of these fairways and putt these greens if you're use to bent grass. A great challenge. The property is very spacious and accommodating. Towels are a little thin but we're here to golf and don't need much.
