Description: Nestled within the cradle of North Augusta's ambitious and visionary Hammond's Ferry riverfront development, Manuel's Bread Cafe combines the storied tradition of a French bakery, pastry and food shop with an unforgettable casual dining experience. From his hometown of Lyon, the Mecca of French cuisine, culinary wizard Chef Manuel Verney-Carron uses his exceptional artistry to extend delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, all guaranteed to delight any palette. The seasonal menu features Manuel's twist on exquisite time-honored French dishes laden with organic produce grown from the fertile soil of our very own Blue Clay Farms, within the partition of Hammond's Ferry. The Cafe is also presenting daily "Plats Du Jour", as well as menu items available as carry-out fare for those who wish to sample the wondrous food "on the go" or in the comfort of their own home. The Cafe also offers a storefront with freshly baked bread, pastries and other items.

Manuel's offers a buffet on Saturday with grits, shrimp, fluffy scrambled eggs, thick rounds of sausage, long pieces if bacon, creme design Brule French toast, fresh baked stuffed croissants....a lovely city experience in the midst of a multi-use community.

Came on a Friday night. Had 2 Cheese app. which had some nuts and fruit. Good choice. Then split crunchy flounder which comes with bones but fried in a sweet sauce with mixed veggies and bread. To top it off dessert triple pound cake. All very good. Only thing I would have changed was not to sit by the door on a hot August night. Now I know. Enjoy

Very good service but pricey. The whole area has the feel of Charleston. This is a good place to sit outside and chat and go for a walk on the river.

I had the Gyro with a salad and fries. My wife had the cobe hamburger with a salad and fries.
We love to go here from time to time to relax and enjoy not only the food and resturant but also tour the beautiful homes in the area that Manuel's is located.
