Poor housekeeping. Insufficient number of towels and washcloths each day. Multiple calls to housekeeping with varying results. We were told one day that they were out and never had any delivered. Room on the 14th floor of the new building was very nice and well equipped. Kitchen was very nice and clean. Pool was small for a large hotel but not an issue as we spent most of the time on the beach. Parking was adequate and across the street.

Room Tip: Only book rooms in the new building. Call management and get a commitment from them that they have...

This place was NASTY! I am a picky person when it comes to hotels. Especially because I have young children. I expect the floors to be clean, towels to be in the bathroom, and no bugs. This place is disgusting in regards to those simple request.
First off.. do NOT stay in the OLD tower. IT'S NASTY! The floors are coming up around the edges. The carpets are nasty, my daughters feet were black. The balcony was dirty, the bathrooms were awful. The room smelled. They need to do a serious re-do of this whole "hotel"
The NEW tower is how this hotel is ranked so high on trip adviser.
The new tower looks nice. The elevators in the older tower are slow, when we left we were stuck in one with the bell boy.
The maids NEVER cleaned our room. we had to ask them to clean. I complained 3/x to the front desk. They only left 3 towels. 3 wash cloths. We had 4 people in our room. We even left them a tip to do a good job.. did not help.
The parking garage was literally a good walk. There are no security people around for the nights you pull in late, which can be somewhat scary for a mother with young kids. Anyone can pull in, the gate does not require a key.
The pools are FREEZING. You cannot let your child swim in it, which defeats the whole idea. The indoor pools were nasty, filled with trash and bugs. The hotel room was filled with stink bugs and we found 4 spiders.
I booked this room in January, and it was so disgusting- we left a day early. It was disappointing, trashy, and a waste of money.

...is what my hubby said when I asked him to describe this property. Good description!

Pluses: great location with easy access to the beach; housekeeping & other support staff very friendly; we got a good rate on internet - 'manager's special'
Negatives: The whole property just looks like it could use a really good cleaning -- molding along bottom of walls was missing in most places, there was dirt on the tiles etc -- you get the picture. We had a 2-queen bed oceanfront w/kitchenette - Rooms are fairly small compared to how they look in the pitures on the internet -- they did put in new kitchen cabinets/sink/microwave but the bathrooms are small & outdated. The pool was ok -- not too clean and the hot tub is now evidently a kiddie pool. Chairs around pool were pretty cheap & had a lot of burd droppings on them. Didn't really too much effort made during the day to keep area clean/wipe down tables etc.

Couple of other things - we are Gold Level Best Western Rewards members -- usually when we check in this is acknowledged with just a nice comment or even, at some hotels, a little gift bag with water bottles and fruit. The man who checked us was pretty harried and barely looked up. When given our room in the older tower I asked about getting a room in the the high tower and was told again NO -- just flat-out. Thought maybe our loyalty to BW would mean something. No big deal.

Also the website needs to be updated because it still says complimentary breakfast but when we asked about this we were met with a puzzled look and a "NO" -- now I read here how many were offered coupons for free breakfast?!

This hotel suited our purpose of being able to hit the beach for a couple of days -- but if we had paid any more for the room than we did we have been sorely disappointed.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Very spacious rooms with amazing views! Our first 2 nights we were next to a "party" room. After we brought up the noisy neighbors to the manager, he upgraded us to a better corner room for the remainder of our stay! He even sent up a member of his staff to help us move rooms! Great experience & I'm pretty picky about hotels.
