I stayed for over a week because of work. When checking in, they promote that the beach is only three blocks away. A short eight-minute walk. All true, but try lugging all your beach paraphernalia three blocks, enjoy your day, and then see how much you're looking forward to dragging it all back those three blocks!
My room was a nice size. Since my stay wound up split over two reservations, I stayed in more than one room. The TV was much bigger in my first room. Both rooms included a small microwave, small refrigerator, and single-cup coffeemaker. In my first room, the jacuzzi tub didn't work very well. I haven't tried it (yet) in my second room. The view of the water is nice even if there are lots of hotels and condos in the way. You won't see the beach from your room no matter how high up you are.
The Internet is free, but slow at around 8 Mbps. The hot water is near-instant in your room, which is nice. Kaleb did a nice job making me feel welcome. The other gentleman on a different didn't do as good of a job (Matt? I don't remember). He was pleasant, just not as welcoming as Kaleb.
The bed felt soft, but I slept fine even though there can be a lot of noise from the hallway reaching your room. Hope you don't have partiers in the halls.
Despite the virus, the pool and gym are open. I didn't use either. There are four elevators, but some people still won't respect the "one family per car" concept of keeping each other safe. There were a few times when I either waited for the next elevator or actually got off the elevator when someone else got on it. Most of the guests wore masks during my stay. Then again, Myrtle Beach has since passed a mandatory mask order which I think is helping.
Parking will cost you $8 a night. There was a concierge working (perhaps because of Covid-19?) and no valet.
