Our room was clean and the decor nice. The staff was friendly. The price was awesome. We had a 4th floor room facing the street which made for some interesting people watching and nice ocean breeze (we left our balcony door open all day). Street side was a tad noisy at night but nothing that kept us from sleeping. This location is literally less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Within a 10-15 drive to everything wanted to do. Breakfast wasn't much more than a continental breakfast (oatmeal, fresh make-it-yourself waffles, apple and orange juice, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast), it was tasty and free. I wouldn't necessarily bring young kids but for a family with teens or a friend's trip in a budget it was perfect and I'd stay again.

This is an older motel and starting to show some age. BUT it was a enjoyable place to stay. The employees were all friendly, my room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the ocean just across the street. The only problem was the sliding door to the balcony was VERY hard to open. Not a deal killer and I would stay here again. The breakfast was good with eggs & meat every day.

Room Tip: Ask for the highest floor if you want to view the Ocean

We went on a trip to Myrtle Beach to check out time shares. The room and breakfast at Quality Inn was wonderful. The service was great and the office space was great, we enjoyed the view and there were lots of things to do.

I am a Platinum Choice hotel member which means I stay in over 20 hotels per year for Choice hotels and it is more like 35 hotels/year. All hotels are for pleasure trips only. The Quality Inn -Myrtle Beach is a good hotel close to city center and clean and bright rooms and is close to the beach (across the road) I would recommend staying there. Positive: great staff, clean rooms. Hotel room is older but clean. We had a room- 714 which was a corner room with a great balcony view including the ocean- extra room with second tv and couch. Maid and staff are great. Negatives: BREAKFAST ENDS AT 9AM - EVEN ON WEEKENDS- YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER GOING ELSEWHERE BECAUSE OF THIS. older decor but still ok. I would recommend a family or couple staying here without hesitation. If you read this review click the GREEN HELPFUL BOX under the review thanks.

Room Tip: ask for higher floors- 7TH FLOOR- 714 is a corner great room

If you plan on taking a quick nap, be advised to lay down for 30 minutes before you actually sleep. The noise level from the busy street below is crazy!! Sound systems and nice cars however. The ocean view was interesting, you would have to look at it through other buildings. The outdoor pool was smaller than most, but was heated some what. The security measures are not that wonderful. The back doors were open the entire 4 days I was there. Any one and their brother could come and go as they please. The downstairs hallway to the lobby is opened so there too, the rain could come inside, as it did and soaked the floor. The elevator had a terrible smell, they need air fresheners. The morning staff was very friendly. Gave good reviews on local places. Not many late night eateries around. The boardwalk is dead at 12am on a weekday and about the same on the weekend. For spring break, I would have expected more. But the breakfast was delicious.

Room Tip: If you want to see the ocean, get the street view, higher than the 5th floor.
