We booked the room for our anniversary. It rained but we still experienced the Marshwalk and picked up a pizza at Bovines....took it back to the lovely room. Spectacular kitchen area, wonderful bed, robes included, very clean bathroom, enjoyed the sitting area, TV, and opened the windows to listen to rain ...... the southern shutters were an extra touch.

We spent three nights here over New Years. I have to say the staff is AWESOME. Especially Aaron. From the moment we made the reservation on the phone with him to checking out he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The other front desk staff did as well. We were driving up from Florida on our way back to NJ and decided to make this our stopping point. Because we decided to drive straight through and arrived in SC a day early we called the lodge to see about getting in a night early. Not only were we welcomed early - our room was comped that night for free! "Drive safe and we'll see you when you get here" had us feeling like we were being welcomed home. We checked in and headed up to our room. WOW. the room was beautiful! (I will try to post a few pics) the carved wood door was gorgeous. Beautiful wood floors. Multi jet shower. And light breakfast each morning. No complaints about this place at all!! The front desk clerk went out of her way calling around cab companies to get us a cab when the first two said it was more than a 30 min wait. I would stay only here if in the area again. LOVE it.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 3rd floor. King bed and sofa sleeper. Kitchen and sitting area. It was quiet even with the hotel being full New Years eve.

Otherwise a nice place, but the Fox News that greets you in the lobby degrades it. When we commented, the receptionist turned the volume up.

FYI: it does not have a water view or access. (Not that they directly claim so, but one might get that impression.)

The Inlet Sports Lodge is located in Murrells Inlet, just south of Myrtle Beach in the quiet and quaint community. There are numerous fantastic seafood restaurants located nearby. Fishing and golf are both available.

My wife and I had the great pleasure of staying here recently and I was unsure what a "Sports Lodge" would be like. Now I know. It was terrific! The front desk staff went out of their way to be sure that we had a room that best suited our needs and wants. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Twin beds a comfy couch, a table and two chairs and a full service kitchen. Our room overlooked the courtyard and best of all was very quiet. The breakfast fare was somewhat limited but adequate. Perhaps the only thing we did not particularly like was the late check in 4:00 and early check out 10:00. Overall, we recommend this place.

Room Tip: I would not recommend a room facing the highway. Loved our room 304 which faced the courtyard and was very quiet
