It's true we wouldn't want to eat there every night of the week, but enjoy it very much on occasion. They'll try adding new things every once in a while, but they have a wonderful buffet they've got down to the perfect formula. Excellent veggies, BBQ, ribs and chicken. Super biscuits and cornbread. And a variety of just the right size desserts to put a period at the end of the sentence. Put that together with log cabin ambience and amiable hosts and you can't go wrong. Only open Thurs, Fri., and Sat. evenings, but worth planning around.

My wife and I were prepared to leave because the restaurant was so packed when we first arrived. FORTUNATELY we met a couple in the parking lot from Connecticut who said they have been stopping here for the last 5 years and it would be an experience we would not regret. Truer words wwere never spoken. The food was fantastic...the line went incredibly fast...the folks who ran the place were absolutely super...what more could one ask for.
We plan on stopping here on our way back to Endicott, New York in two weeks and look forward to stopping again in April when we head to New Smyrna. It's worth making a detour even if you're not passing through Latta, SC.
Do yourself a favor...try it and I guarantee you'll be hooked.

We used to stop by Shuler's fairly regularly several years ago, then found a "better" route to the beach in the new highway, saving us about 20 minutes on our drive to North Myrtle Beach. Tonight, my craving for the great food at Shuler's was calling me, we took the old route, and we don't know how they did it, but it EXCEEDED our wonderful memories. The BBQ was great, the fried chicken is possibly the best ever, the green beans, cabbage, lima beans and sweet potato souffle were all delicious. My daughter said the tiny biscuits were the best food there...then came the desserts!!! The cakes and peach cobbler did not disappoint! The waitresses are very sweet and attentive. Great food for $12 - you just can't beat this place! (tonight was especially fun with Zydeco music and Mardi Gras beads) We're rethinking our normal route to the beach now - it will have to include Shuler's more often! It is definitely worth the drive.

Schuler's BBQ and chicken bog is great! I've never been there that the food and service wasn't wonderful. I just wish they were open all week instead of only Thursday thru Saturday. They'd have my business all week!

Shuler's BBQ serves authentic wood smoked Q in a log cabin style restaurant overlooking a lake. Shuler's is currently only open for dinner Thursday thru Saturday, but have plans to open for lunch. Norton, the owner, was gracious enough to prepare some sandwiches before they were to open. The meat is very flavorful, and oulled pork, not minced to death as many restaurants do. Shuler's is a breath of fresh air when compared to all the fast food hamburger joiunts you encounter driving to Myrtle Beach. They have a very nice buffet in the evenings which is very popular withe locals
