Year after year, we are never disappointed. Not only is the Omni the Best Place on the Beach, the hotel is in superb condition, where a good night's sleep just happens. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the ocean front rooms provide an awesome view. We watched the dolphins following a shrimp boat from our balcony. Not to mention the sunrises. The staff treat you like family. Why would anyone want to stay any place else?

This is a difficult place to review because there are lots of positives but they’re almost balanced by the negatives. Firstly, staff are great, friendly & helpful. Reception, Concierge, Valet Parking and Bar staff stood out. Beach is beautiful and pool facilities are pretty good. The major problem is that serious investment is needed in the rooms and common areas. The corridors are reminiscent of a 1970s multi story parking lot, covered in yellow heavily textured plaster. When we checked in, the room we were allocated was dark and depressing with full view of Car park, the kind of room that makes you want to run away screaming! Reception were really patient with us and showed us several rooms, but to get any kind of light in the room we had to pay $60 extra per night to upgrade to an ocean view, which given the resort was running about 30% occupancy seemed harsh. The upgraded room still had a view of the car park. Every room we saw had same tired decor and we learnt the reason for the gloomy interiors - half the windows have been blocked out by a fixed wooden fake shutter that doesn’t do anything except block the light out! The kitchens are short of any real cooking facilities and don’t really serve any useful purpose. Restaurants seem a little rudimentary for a resort of this class and size. Despite the negatives, overall we enjoyed ourselves, but wouldn’t return, unless resort had been refurbished.

We had a ocean view room it was beautiful. Both view and view. We ate several times at the outside grill area. The food was really good. The people were really friendly. The heated pools are great. Will visit again Palmetto Dunes is a lovely plantation.

Room tip: pay more to get a ocean view

This is a beautiful ocean front resort nestled in the pristine Palmetto Dunes community. Service and amenities are top notch. We will be going every year for our anniversary. Three restaurants plus the pool bar provide an array of dining experiences. Nice work out room.

We can here to decompress and have couples time. It was crowded but we had a great time. The staff and customer service were top notch! Loved being right on the beach and having a choice of the pool as well with wait service. Felt like we were on a Caribbean getaway
