We were told we had a five minute wait, which was fine until it turned into 20. Students are running the wait staff it appears so their idea of estimating wait time must be in the learning phase. We got stale chips for the first time in my life in a Mexican restaurant, which they corrected, but it was surprising. The beet tacos were very good and the meat and cheese enchiladas with verde sauce were awesome! That green sauce they put on the enchiladas was really tasty. The vegetarian taco sucked. The quesadillas were about average. The wait staff were quick and efficient and attentive to our requests and kept the drinks filled, which is always awesome to have good service like that. If you go during lunch hours, they are crowded and expect to wait.

With delicious food and a great atmosphere, your going to have to wait. The restaurant is open later than others in Columbia. This is nice for out-of-towners who don't know that almost everything closes early. Young to old and everyone in between will enjoy this fare. Don't leave without trying the fried ice cream.

We love Cantina 76! The trio ("tres hombres" on the menu) is great for sharing as an app: queso, guac, and salsa with tortilla chips. The tacos are served al a carte, so enjoy mixing and matching! The service can leave something to be desired, especially if they are busy. But Cantina is a favorite of ours regularly.

Popular place, busy and somewhat noisey, we enjoyed our entrees. Happy hours drinks $1 off. Excellent wait staff. Will definitely return.
