Description: Hunter-Gatherer Brewery has been brewing and serving classic ales since 1995. Starting in 2015, we will regularly feature cask-conditioned ales served from wood kilderkins made by Alastair Simms, the only master cooper in the United Kingdom. Michael Jackson, aka the "Beer Hunter", visited the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery in 1997. He wrote that the Hunter-Gatherer is "the kind of place CAMRA (Campaign For Real Ale) members might enjoy. The beer is the hero, rather than the brewery being an afterthought. In the U.S., And even sometimes in Britain, the latter is too often the case." Michael Jackson was the best beer writer and critic the world has known. A compliment from Michael Jackson is as meaningful as it gets in the brewery world.

On parent's weekend visiting our daughter at USC we came here for lunch. Service was spot on. Drinks were very tasty, tacos were tasty and chips & guacamole nice & fresh. If you can get a seat, worth a trip!

Had the pale ale. Very good. Right amount of hoppiness without any bitter aftertaste. Also had the burger and hash browns for dinner. Good, juicy burger with fresh toppings. Great place to go for a casual meal with good beer.

This is a nice restaurant to go to if you are trying to catch up with friends or have a celebratory dinner. This restaurant has two levels of seating – the bottom floor is a little louder (for your celebratory dinners) and the top floor is quieter (for trying to catch up with a friend). The menu is pretty stale, the food is good, but the menu has not changed in years, other than specials they do from night to night. The deserts are wonderful and I would definitely recommend those if you are a desert person.

Additionally, they brew a couple of their own beer which taste pretty good. Overall, nice place to eat.

Great local eatery and brewery that has great comfort foods and beers brewed on premise. The black bean appetizer is excellent. Was our second visit while dropping our daughter off at school, and will be back on our next visit.

We came here for an early dinner and beers. IT did not disappoint. The beers were good but the food was very good. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I have had! Definitely would recommend this place.
