Very busy place on a Tuesday summer afternoon. We sat at the bar to eat. Friendly waitress who kept our drinks filled. Only thing the food took close to 45 minutes to arrive after ordering. It was good the onion rings were a tad greasy but overall good bar food. No complaints and would go back again. FYI the bar stools are higher than the average bar stool

This was our second visit to this Clemson Icon. Portions are generous and the service is friendly. Our large group of adults and children ordered everything from burgers and other bar classics to "Meat and Three". The Meat and Three is a choice of meat (fried chicken, fried chicken livers, meatloaf, fried fish, etc.) and three sides, most of which were fried. I recommend staying with the regular bar food - the meatloaf was mostly loaf, the fried chicken was forgettable, the sides seemed to be from the freezer - overly salty and otherwise very forgettable. The coleslaw was either spoiled or just bad.

As someone who has 2 boys at Clemson, I am biased toward Esso club. Steeped in tradition, it’s a Clemson must visit. Food is decent and fairly priced. Be sure to order the large beer if you are thirsty. Game day can be a challenge to get inside but you can hang outside as weather is usually nice

A Clemson student told us that we could not visit the university without stopping at the Esso Club. We had dinner here the night before our tour. Our waitress was very friendly. The ambiance was good. Our food was fair, typical bar food. We were happy to dine someplace different.

We were in town when Spring game was to be played. Service was still great even though there were a lot of guests. Food was good, fries were quite tasty. Music was great.
