Passing through the Olde English District of SC and wanted lunch. There are several eateries in Chester, SC, and we stumbled on this one. The building's seen better days from the outside, but inside, it was open, lots of tables, easy to move around and all but packed with people. Ceiling fans turning lazily, ceiling tiles all in place and clean, wait staff were attentive from the start.
The food started flowing - salad was crisp and fresh; fries were hot and nicely salted and good! If you're a fan of Philly steaks, the chicken version was extraordinary--it's a winner. Fried squash seemed a little overdone, but overall a great, more than ample meal. Stop on by, and enjoy some great cooking.
