This hotel is new on Upper King Street in the Design District. This is a great location! It's nice if you want to hang out with the locals instead of the tourists. There's a lot of new development in this area and tons of new restaurants, bars, shops, etc. This area is definitely the new hot spot in Charleston. Right outside your door you have The Ordinary, The Darling, HoM, Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, Etc.
The hotel itself is nice and modern and comfortable. They built some shops along King Street and the hotel itself is tucked away in a courtyard just behind the shops. There is a self parking garage attached ($16/day) if you do not want to do the $30 valet.
Rooms are more like a studio apartment. There is a small kitchen with an island, living room, bedroom and bath. Nice to have the space to stretch out. Very nice bathroom with rain shower. Seemed very quiet. Free WiFi was outstanding! My room looked out on a roof/air conditioning unit :( so I would deduct 1/2 star if I could. I would definitely stay here again.More
