This was my husband and my 1st visit to this Italian restaurant. Our friends had been there for dinner before as a couple and she with 3 friends.
Tonight the restaurant was empty as this week was quiet following last weeks busy time hosting the annual SEWEE exhibition that goes for 4 days each February and kicks off the amazing tourist season in Charleston.
The atmosphere is typical for an Italian restaurant: terrazzo tile , a great menu & large portions.
We started with apps of calamari, half Caesar salad & a split caprese salad. We had several calamari left & some of the caprese salad. Portions too large.
Dinners were a pasta dinner that looked great, veal Marsala, and we ladies split the tagliatelle fungli. Thank goodness we split the latter. Size was perfect. We all liked our dinners. Had a delicious bottle of wine with dinner and the guys had beer & wine.
Service was excellent with Allison serving our table. She was excellent. Food very good but quantity too much.
Overall a great evening. I'll come back when attending a function at music hall or something close by.
