Very yummy! The infusion of flavors was amazing, thank you chef! The crab cakes are by far the best I've ever had, mostly crab, very little filler, again yum! Kayla our server was super sweet and very patient about going over the menu. Atmosphere was relaxing and fun, we sat in the back by the kitchen and I loved watching the hustle of the staff, the kitchen is run like a tight ship, excellent job guys! I will definitely be back!

We arrived in Charleston pretty late and searched for a semi casual setting to get dinner. We loved the menu so decided to sit at a quaint table outside. Our server was very nice and gave us a lot of great suggestions. The cocktail list is very detailed and yummy! We tried the duck, shrimp n grits, truffle fries, tuna tartare, broccolini, and the hush puppies. I can recommend all of them!! Worth a visit when in Charleston

We had a group of six. Making a same day reservation was easy. Good location on East Bay Street. Service was excellent - prompt and courteous without hovering. The food was excellent. The tuna tartare and hushpuppy appetizers were a great way to start. The duck was cooked perfectly and the cajun fish special had the appropriate seasoning without being overpowering. We split several desserts and the Key Lime pie and Bread Pudding were the favorites. The only criticism is that it was a little loud in the dining area - a lot of hard finishes so the noise level was a bit too high for comfortable conversation around a table of six.

Both of us had the shrimp and grits and both enjoyed very much. I liked the grits much better than the shrimp though. Service was great, food came out timely. Craft beers were very good also.

We happened upon Pawpaw when we were on our way to a different very well reviewed Charleston restaurant. We checked out their menu, and being S.nobs, cancelled our table and ate at Pawpaw. We started with a great froze (I didn't forget the N - accent is on the E) drink "call me an uber" which married grapefruit and rose wine and was sort of a slush.

We weren't looking for rocket science food, just solid, well made, and good flavors. That's exactly what we got, starting with truffle fries and ahi tuna bites and three lunch entree salads (one a Kale with pecorino, a Caesar and a seafood Cobb). They are a southern style menu so check it out online first - like I said before, it appealed to us more than some other neighboring places.

I love the industrial look decor with sliding barn doors- it is warm and welcoming and we almost sat outside, but the weather was just a tad humid. Great spot - try it out.

Thank Michele W
