We brought friends here who were visiting from Texas. We’d finished a carriage ride and were all hot & sweaty & thirsty. This seemed like a good place to cool down.
We ordered some snacks - mozzarella sticks w/marinara (only fair), conch fritters (rubbery), southeast egg rolls(meh) and onion rings (excellent). And the beer was ice cold. The place could use a thorough cleaning though - especially the bathroom. If you’re just looking for a place to sit at the bar and have a few drinks, this should do fine.

When you have children at a table and everyone at the bar including the bartender using profanity as if they don’t know any better with children around. We we’re completely ignored for 15 min as they looked right at us. Guess if your not a local you don’t belong there.

So, we ran away from home this weekend, to Beaufort, South Carolina. Got into town around 1 and started looking for a place to eat. Siri found Rosie O'Grady's Irish Pub, and we headed that way.

The directions on Siri and the car's GPS are a little tough, since it's in a shopping mall and can't be seen from the street. But it was worth it.

The bar wasn't busy (on a Friday afternoon at 1:30), and Travis the bartender and Mike the owner made us feel at home. With Travis' recommendation, I had a Savannah brewed Southern Praline beer. He wasn't wrong. Like Citrin hops flavor with a sweeter aftertaste. Linda had Yellowtail Moscato. I had their signature Reuban sandwich, and she had the shrimp plate. Turns out, the shrimp is local fresh caught -- the best. The Reuban was good as well. Enjoyed the company, and we may go back tonight for the live music. All-in-all, my kind of place.

I was surprised by the varied menu, but not by the fine service.
With or without a "game" on TV, many evenings have live enter-
tainment, etc. Parking is a breeze, since it is located in the Bi-Lo
shopping center on Boundary Street.

We truly enjoy stopping in this pub . Everything from the staff , ambiance , to the food is worth returning to Rosie's.
My husband orders the Gumbo whenever we stop in. Yesterday , he ordered a bowlful , then asked for a second order To Go . ( NOTE : The chef alters having Gumbo on the menu with Chowder , so call before you go if you have your mind set on the Gumbo. You wouldn't want to be disappointed. )
