Our large party received excellent service from our primary waiter (a man with a Bruins logo on his bow tie) and a second helper. The waiter communicated very informatively, effectively, and naturally. Our requests for replacements, additional condiments, etc. were attentively accommodated throughout the meal.

The food was good in taste and quantity for the price (i.e. not to write home about). We had veal and eggplant parmesans, fried clams (unfortunately tasted more bread-y than crispy but fortunately tasted fresh and not gritty), lobster tails, scrod, etc.

The panoramic window views of the reservoir and the wooden interior give an elegant feel to the dining room (but the food is plated commonly). The restaurant appears to be versatile (in addition to the dining room, there appeared to be bar, lounge, and private banquet room areas).

I guess i expected chandeliers and a red carpet flowing up a grand stair case, with all the hype around this place. You do get lots of food for the price, and the servers and efficient and have worked there forever, but it was just basic food. Nothing to rave about.

Recently went for an 80th birthday celebration with family. The water put at the table was not suitable to give to a pet never mind serve to actual human guests. The chicken Parmesan tasted like rubber and like it was slapped in a dish covered with sauce and cheese then microwaved.
The guest of honor was looking forward to having a nice prime rib dinner for his birthday which was also on the list of specials plastered to the wall. This is a staple item at this restaurant and one of the dishes they are known for. Well not this day because at 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon they were out of prime rib. To me that is totally unacceptable. What's next, will they run out of pasta? Which by the way tasted like it was soaking in water all day long.
The lone positive thing about this visit was the waitstaff who were excellent, very nice and attentive.
The main job of a restaurant is to ensure the guests have a wonderful experience so they may enjoy themselves , maybe talk up the place to their friends(free publicity) and even return sometime. Well, we will not be returning

The restaurant is big and even though it is well frequented, one probably does not need a reservation. But if you come a little late, all the specials of the day are gone, most of the times.
The place is famous for the meat, sundays there is prime rib, I had a good entrecote, which was good, a lttle to much cooked. The bernaise sauce was a dissapointment, but it is also herd to make.
Service was ok, the busboy was totally uninterested and pretty sloppy.
Wine by the glass is available, a nice range of choices,,but the red was much too warm.
Obviously this is a place for family celebrations, there were three birthday parties the night we were there.

Staff was inattentive. Our water glasses was nearly empty not one waiter came to fill our water glasses. Food order came out all wrong. They refuse to correct it. We will never ever return here again.
