My wife and I went to the Yardley Inn for our 43rd Anniversary. The charm of the establishment is evident as you pull in to park. Lovely setting right on the banks of the DE river. Walk in and your are greeted with warmth and an inviting smile. We arrived before 6:00pmE so seating was available. Get a reservation if you will be there around 7:00pmE or later. Great ambiance. The staff is great. Robert was our waiter and he was incredible. Wine selection was excellent. Dinner was one of the best we've ever had. It was a crabby(crab bisque and crab cakes) dinner and one of the best we've ever had. A wonderful evening made even better by anunbelievable establishment. You must visit them if you are in the area.

The location along the Delaware river is beautiful. The facility is roomy with different dinning areas. The menu has something for everyone. The specialty drinks are fun and they always have dinner specials. We enjoy the fun atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are nicely decorated and the food well prepared. Good place for the family or dinning with friends.

Had not been here in a long time but wanted to revisit. This place has the art of the meal solved. Pleasant surroundings, background music, attentive waitstaff, excellent food, and decent drinks. We sat at a table in the bar area at our request. The balance of the tables seem to favor a more sedate feeling. There is also a patio dining area that was well represented along with the establishments herb garden across the road which you can visit. Nice views of the Delaware river from many of the tables. All in all a great place to relax and enjoy all the good that life has to offer without any of the noise for noise sake. Napoleon was our waiter and he was helped by the balance of the unobtrusive wait staff. Well done.

Situated on the Delaware river in a quaint restaurant/Inn, this place could be fabulous - but it settles for average. My server was weak and not sufficiently present - serving us cool not chilled wine. She was pleasant but not proficient. The menu selections were uninspired and drove us to salad main courses. Dessert was fine and our tab was pretty much what I expected but I won't be hurrying back there the next time I am in town.

On the positive side: the small plates (tapas) were very good, the waitstaff was pleasant and friendly. The place was lively in a nice way. The cosmos were good.

On the other hand:We were given bread and butter 20 mins before we were given napkins and flatware. A glass of wine ordered with the meal finally came after reminders about 5 mins before we were leaving (In fairness, at least they didn't charge for it). None in our party of 4 were excited about our entrees, which were either bland and uninspired or oddly seasoned. The outdoor seating, with a view of the river, was ridiculously loud with motorcycles and cars needing mufflers zooming by a couple of feet away.
