A little slice of heaven tucked away in the heart of Berks County. Russo's is actually an Italian/Greek food store/market, complete with imported wares, dishes, and ingredients for you to make a great authentic meal at home. It also has a back counter with delicious, if not a bit expensive, homemade items, like Eggplant Parm, Kohlrabi, and other delicacies, Best item in the place? Homemade Pizza. Not the pizza box store type, but warm, authentic Italian pizza. Grab a cannoli, and you have a great meal. A small sit in place in the front of the store if you want to sit and eat, otherwise, they package to go. Do yourself a favor, get to Russo's!

Berks county is starving for a good independent market, and Russo is as close as we come here. Many products are directly imported from Italy/Europe and are priced reasonably. The produce section is not good, not much selection and overpriced. Prepared foods are very good, delicious, good selection/prices. Except pizza: they make it "pizza hut style", with thick white crust. I prefer thin crispy crust like in Italy or thin NY-style.

Word of advice: check for expiration dates, some items come very close to being old. Overall I would recommend, especially the prepared foods section.

This place is an Italian market but has great take out in the back. Pizzas are huge and a great deal! Thick crust and great toppings.

This market is a great place to get authentic Italian food, ingredients, pastas, pastries and more. They have a large variety of everything. It's a pleasant place to shop and they make wonderful panini sandwiches! My only recommendation is to check the dates on the products...I've gotten a few products with expiration dates that were very near the purchase date. When ever I'm in the area, I have to make a stop at Russo's!

Wonderful market with anything you can imagine from Italy. Refrigerated cases of all sorts of cheese, fresh deli, imported cookies and packaged foods, unique frozen foods and fresh breads. Nice looking fresh veggies (a bit expensive). But for me it's all about the back corner.

They have amazing freshly made lasagne, and pastas with chicken, fish, roasted veggies, etc. Probably about 10 steam pans of food. Don't let the steam table fool you. It's fresh and delicious. They have dirt cheap pannini but it's the pizza that is the best. Numerous variations from plain to roasted veggie, pepperoni, buffalo chicken, spinach and fresh tomato and more. Each slice must be 6"x6" on a soft and chewy thick crust (but crispy bottom if you have them heat it up). The plain is only $1.50. Get it with any toppings for just $2.50.

They also have a fabulous salad bar with all sorts of pasta salads, Italian salads, tortellini with pesto, and more as well the usual salad bar stuff. Very fresh. Very cheap at $3.99 per pound. Check out the olive bar ($6.99# I think) with all sorts of olives and fresh marinated mozzarella cheese and more.

Eat in or take out. Buy a whole pizza pie and feed a party.
