I've been missing good baguettes. No lie. No one around here seems to have the right chops for it, but this place nails it. Crunchy and brown on the outside, doughy and light on the inside. Boom. The coffee is pretty good and the croissant was 4 stars. I liked the decor and the long window seat to people watch.
The only thing keeping it from a 5-star click was the sandwich. For $7 I got a half-baguette with one (very) thin layer of ham and one (very) thin layer of cheese. Considering a baguette is $2.50, sliced in half should be $1.25, so essentially I paid $5.75 extra for, well, for not much. More meat, Magique, more meat. I don't think I'm alone in this opinion.
Lastly, let's see a sandwich with saucisson, cheese, and cornichons!
Bottom line: It's awesome and I think the best bakery in WC, just needs some fine-tuning, and of course, more meat.
