We love to stay in B&B's and this one was charming. There are options for the type of accommodation you like. We chose the Pond Room because we were two couples travelling together and it had 2 separate rooms, each with a private bath that overlook the pond and it was very quiet and comfortable. These two rooms do not have wifi connection because they are away from the main house. We awoke to deer grazing near the pond one morning which was a delight. Sandy and Lance go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and can help with dinner reservations as well. We returned from dinner one evening and went back to the Hay Barn, where breakfast is served and where you can gather to relax, read, have a cookie or tea. We sat around the fire with a bottle of wine, reminiscing about our day and just enjoying ourselves. The room is lovely and cozy and was perfect on that chilly evening. Lance gets up early and starts breakfast and it is not to be missed; he owned his own restaurant so you know that it was yummy. Belgian waffles one morning with fruit and all the trimming; another morning was eggs, sausage, fresh fruit(beautifully cut and arranged) and English muffins And of course it is served with juice, tea or coffee and vibrant conversation with Lance. I do need to add that this B&B sits on a beautiful piece of property with gorgeous trees and it is very near to Longwood Gardens which we visited as well. It is a must see attraction and this was a B&B you should choose when in the area. We hope to return one day!More
