Stayed one night in the middle room of the carriage house. The room was spacious and very aesthetically pleasing. The next morning, breakfast was perfectly delicious, including wonderful coffee and juices. Chatted and had some great laughs with Lance, which was fun. Sandy said goodbye with a warm hug and we left feeling like we had made some sweet new friends. Even though we only had a short visit, we loved everything about the Inn and cannot wait to return!

We arrived for a 2-night stay later than a usual check-in and were met graciously by Lance as he prepped for the next day culinary delights. My wife and I felt instantly welcomed and 'comfortable' (as opposed to some B&Bs that attempt to put on 'aires'). Sandy and Lance are down-to-earth, friendly people that care deeply for our privacy and comfort. We were staying for the 32nd annual Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square and that too was a lovely experience.
But the highlight is the room, the grounds, the spectacular breakfasts and hospitality. The room was lightly decorated and comfortable. Our room "Daily Review" had a balcony with table/chairs that we were able to relax and 'take in' the perfect weather. Unlike some other posters, our Internet was flawless and fast in our room and in the breakfast area.
If you find yourself wanting to go to Longwood Gardens, or other event in this area, do yourself a favor and stay here.

We have experienced the good fortune of staying here probably a half a dozen times. Lance and Sandy really do everything possible to make all aspects of your visit perfect. We enjoy the peace and privacy of the Fats Wallow and Fanny Wallow rooms in the Pond House although we have enjoyed other rooms here as well.
The thing that originally drew us here is that they do not impose a 2 night minimum stay as many of the other B & B's in the area do. However now that we have become "regulars" I really can't picture staying anywhere else.

Stunning property, conveniently tucked away behind Longwood Gardens in Chester County! We recently stayed for several days and had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. The newly renovated haybarn is open 24 hours to enjoy coffee, soda, water and snacks and hosts breakfast every morning. The food was excellent, large portions, very fresh and filling! We enjoyed the gorgeous tennis courts and pool. The rooms are clean and incredibly comfortable. We will absolutely be back and can't recommend them enough. Thank you to Sandy, Lance and Samantha for all their hospitality!

Room tip: The suites are worth the extra money! Absolutely stunning!

We can only review the Carriage House room -- it was a lovely room, but I found it very unsettling to sleep in a room where immediately outside the door were parking spaces. This felt like a roadside motel, and it felt uncomfortable that the bed was in plain view of the grounds if my husband went out to the car. Anytime he opened the door I had to run into the bathroom for privacy.
