At-a-glance: If you're in the area - it's a must-visit for sushi lovers. Can be a little tricky to find. Worth the effort.

Service: Friendly staff with fast service. As avid sushi fans, we needed little help but were pleased to watch the staff help a gentleman expose his son to sushi with patience and humor. Our waitress got excited watching us take some snapshots of the food.

Atmosphere: We found the atmosphere to be quite cute - as if you stepped into a little sushi stall. However, the place is small inside, there were only 3 seating options, a round table for 6/7, a table for 4, and a table for 2. That's it - so if you have a large party, you may want to order out here. It can feel a little cramped but once you taste the food, it really doesn't matter anymore.

Food: Excellent. I may not have the most refined palate in the world, but everything we ate was delicious. The fish was just as it should be and the combination of ingredients in their special rolls was surprisingly delectable. My favorite was the French Kiss roll. If I'm in the area again, this will be my first stop.

We loved the food and experience at Satto so much we went for dinner one night and lunch the next day during our overnight trip to The Great Wolf Lodge. It was the perfect place for our who family to escape from the blur and unhealthy environment of the Lodge to experience something delicious, generous, and nourishing. It feels like you enter a family kitchen at Satto. There are three tables that consist of roughly 15 seats total, and a sushi bar with perhaps another 6-8 seats. The cooks and staff were very friendly. We had an array of sushi, yaki udon, ramen, and bibimbop that were fresh and impressive. My only concern about writing a rave review is that the next time we are in the Poconos we might have to face a long line to get in.

Absolutely do not judge this establishment from the outside! We’re from the Orlando, Fl area and this place went toe to toe with our local sushi restaurants. It’s not very big but super cozy and very friendly. Can’t wait to get back to the area to indulge again!

I read the reviews and sounded like it was worth the trip. Definitely appreciated the review saying"Don't judge the book by it's cover". Probably would not have stopped here otherwise. Staff was friendly, food was great! I had the birthday roll, our daughter had her usual Philadelphia roll and Spider roll. My husband had 2 rolls spicy yellowtail and spicy tuna. Our son even got sushi which he never does. He got the beef bbq roll no cucumber. Everyone loved their dinners. Would definitely recommend this place for yummy sushi!

We were referred to Satto as a great sushi place in the Pocono mountains. We have a vacation home here but us had to drive 35 minutes in driving rain to get there. Well worth it! As we heard in other reviews, the fish was very fresh, buttery and tender. We sat at the sushi bar, and the chef offered us a taste of something not on the menu - a piece of fried yellow tail, that was simply sumptuous. The avocado and crab salad was excellent, distinguished by the very fresh crabmeat and avocado. We sampled the miso soup with very fresh seaweed. Two rolls that we had are highly recommended - the Maui tuna roll and the fire roll. Satto Sushi looks like a hole in the wall of a small strip center and doesn't look like much when you enter, but the proprietors are warm and friendly and the food is outstanding!
