Out shopping on this cold afternoon. We decided to try Crossroads for the first time. We passed a few others that we had visited numerous time and was getting more and more dissatisfied.

There were a lot of cars in lot so we figured it must be okay. Upon entering we were seated. The restaurant was fairly full. Given the menu we decided what we wanted, which included soup and salad bar. We ordered then visited the soup and salad bar. It was well stocked with a variety of items. 2soups to chose from. All was very good and tasty. Choice of bread to chose also.

We very much enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The only issue was the wait. Took a while to have food brought out. Waited for our check. I understand it was busy but not that busy. All aside we would go back. It is reasonable and good! Portions large! Brought half of our dinner home.

Stopped here for dinner at 8pm Sunday evening. Ordered Stuffed Shells. The plate arrived so hot the parsley was burned on the rim. I was unable to cut through the pasta with the butter knife and the cheese inside was dried out. To top it off, the sauce was extremely salty and very dark as if it too was overheated and brown around the edges. Swapped the entree for a bowl of Cheerios which was fine. This used to be a great restaurant, not sure what happened here...

Most entrees on the complete menu include the "salad bar"---which includes what you'd expect for salad, plus three soups, fresh bread, and an unending supply of peel-and-eat shrimp. That alone could be $10 at another restaurant. I had Blackened Fresh Pollock that was superb (with a side) and I preceded that with three dishes of the cold shrimp. Four of us ate our fill and the bill was $43.
All entrees were superb to excellent.

A lot of food to choose from, varied menu with a typical diner atmosphere. What a bargain though. Cold meat loaf sandwich, all you can eat salad bar and soup for $7.20 + tax & tip. Good tasting sandwich, salad bar had a lot to offer and 3 different soups. I gotta take a nap now, stuffed myself.
