The walk to PNC park is about 15 min. away. It is also within walking distance to the Subway and buses which can take you to either Heinz Field, Mt. Washington (incline), or the Strip. My friend and I had a great time at the hotel. I would also like to say that the staff were very nice and friendly.

We went on business, we were not supposed to give them our card information, but they insisted we had to, then they put a hold on our cards, even though paperwork was done before hand to avoid this. also they gave us the wrong room number at first, and they I couldn't turn the thermostat down past 68 degrees, waitress took forever to take our order in the bar and then our food took a long time to get to us.

Very expensive, no hot tub, parking fee is terrible. Staff were nice. Hotel is only a few months old so right now everything is neat and clean. Evening reception food left a lot to be desired. Breakfast made to order in am is an excellent benefit - I'd like to see all Embassy Suites offer the 24 hour free beverages and snacks to all premium rooms like the one in NJ. Consistency would be good.

Rooms are well organized with usb plugs, great contemporary decor, and good light. Really nice breakfast. I did not do the evening get together, but looked like it was very popular. Walkable distance from convention center. This hotel is in a great old building and the unique fretwork and beautiful elevator doors but the rooms, public spaces are modern and contemporary. I would stay here again.

Our choice to stay here came suddenly, we booked it and arrived a few hours later. We were here for a pirates game at PNC park.

Location: This hotel is on 6th avenue. There are a lot of good food options right on the street. If you need to get to PNC park or Heinz field. The "T" Is right down the street and it is free. You can also get to the Consol Energy Center with a short walk from the hotel, (We could see it out of our window). Station square is also a short T ride away, but requires a small fare (don't think they make change). The hotel is also suited not to far from the point, you can walk or take the T part of the way there.

Grounds/Public Areas: This is my one complaint with the hotel, The entrance is suited next to a bus stop, making it hard to get squeeze from the curb to the door. Though past that, The building was converted from an old law-firm. It really has that historic feel in the lobby and in the stair cases, the exterior is also very historic, everything else has been stripped down and redone to look very modern .

Service: Every team member was very nice and they made sure our stay was good. Especially April, who answered all of my questions and asked me about our stay.

Food: Had to squeeze this one in here. The FREE breakfast was great, they have all the standard food choices and was pretty good. I think the have made to order choices as well. They also have an "Evening Venue" in the lobby with chips crakers and some veggies. Not a big selection, but good. There is also a restaurant, but we didn't eat there. It is rare to find this amount of free food in the city.

Parking: The Valet is $32 a night, looking at other reviews, you could self park offsite if you want to save some cash

Room: Very modern and clean, It was a suite. With a living room and a pull out sofabed. There was also a little wet bar and sink. And a workstation. I liked the USB ports on the Desk and on the bed. The Bathroom is massive and has a standup shower (No tub). The bedroom was nice and had a night stand with USB ports and it also had an ihome to play music. The bedding was clean and the beds were pretty good.

Overall, a good stay and would reccomend this place to anyone

Room Tip: Higher floor means closer to amentities, we were on the 25th floor, meaning we could just walk up a flight of steps and be at the pool
