I found this B&B on Groupon and it was a great weekend! The entire house was beautiful, and the staff, well I can't say enough about the staff. They were so welcoming and hospitable. Since we were the only couple to stay the entire weekend we got to explore the home and see all of the other rooms.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bird of Paradise the our 1st night which was very comfortable. The second night we stayed in the original master suit the double bed was not as comfortable.

Most everything has been said in the other reviews; and my wife and I find most of the other reviews to be true. The accommodations are comfortable (it was a windy cold weekend when we visited and our room, The African Tulip, was warm and not drafty,) the inn is beautiful, and the food delicious. Ed, Ty, and Dee are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is fantastic; we were able to get around town and back to the inn easily.
So, I’ll skip the redundancy and talk a little about RJ. Sadly, we missed getting to know Razor, but we did get to meet RJ. If you have looked at the reviews, or the Parador Inn web site, you can’t help noticing the dog friendly environment. BUT, for those of you nervous about dogs please don’t let that deter you from visiting this outstanding inn. You won’t see RJ unless you want to; he stays in the kitchen and the courtyard. You won’t find dog hair on the furniture, he won’t be in your room to wake you, and he won’t have his head on your lap begging for your bacon. And, if you do meet him, you will soon see that he is an absolute lover of a dog.
In short, give this place a whirl. Good people, good accommodations, good location, and good dog.

From the moment you are welcomed to the Parador Inn it is obvious that you have chosen the right place to stay on the Northshore of Pittsburgh. The Inn is located within easy walking distance to great restaurants, art galleries and PNC Park.

We loved everything about the Parador Inn - Attention to detail in the furnishings and decor - it was like stepping into the past. One can envision ladies in gowns sitting in front of the fireplace in the main rooms while gentlemen enjoy their brandy and cigars in the parlor discussing the day's events. Every room in the house has a beautiful chandelier with a history of its own - the bronze statues and fine porcelain are antiques only found in the finest homes of the last century. It is as if one is spending the night in a fine antique shoppe.

The breakfast is fabulous - Vanilla French toast and pineapple parfait ! The coffee is great too!!! And it is served at the time requested the night before ~~ It is all about the guest!

High speed Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions bring one back into the 21st Century (our room even had a small fridge to chill our wine).

I am in the hotel industry and I cannot praise the Parador Inn enough. This mansion is huge and we spent time walking from common room to room admiring the artwork, beveled glass and mirrors, antiques and furniture (all period pieces). Ty, Dee and Ed made our stay comfortable, memorable and easy. Thank you thank you thank you.

P.S. I don't know how they do it but this magnificent mansion is SPOTLESS!!! Amazing staff and host -

IT DOESN"T GET ANY BETTER THAN THE PARADOR.

Room Tip: The rooms are large, beautifully appointed and have unique decorations and antiques. We stayed in the Oleander (so romantic) and the third floor Penthouse (accommodated 4 people nicely). I want to sleep in every room at this lovely Inn. We will be back !!!

We had a friend's reunion of six traveling to Pittsburgh from Alaska and Florida and stayed at the Parador Inn. Each room was roomy, comfortable and more beautiful then the next. The inn is a beautiful Victorian mansion; a walk back in time with a fun twist. We marveled quiet some time of the collections that each room held from around the world. Ed, Ty and Dee were welcoming and friendly. Ed shared the history of the inn with us in front of the fireplace. The inn is in walking distance to restaurants where he we had dinner in the evening. Our accommodations were private. The house is so solid that we didn't know that there were other guests until breakfast time. Ed is a superb cook. We had fluffy french toast and crispy bacon for breakfast and the coffee was fabulous. There is a spacious back porch to relax and look out over the garden. You can even throw a ball for the sweet black lab, RJ. In the morning after breakfast, we decided to visit the Mattress Factory, a contempary art gallery in walking distance from the inn. Ed accomadated us with discounted tickets for our party. We appreciate the attention to detail during our stay. Whether in town for business, a concert, a romantic getaway or a friend's reunion, this is a great place to stay. Thank you Ed, Ty and Dee for sharing your beautiful inn with us.

We stayed for a night in Pittsburgh. Ty greeted us, gave us a tour of this lovely renovated mansion, and put us at ease. I don't usually search out B&Bs but this was within walking distance of the casino, theaters, PNC Park, and Heinz Field. We felt it was our own home. Ed, the owner, prepared a wonderful breakfast for us at a time of our choosing. Banana parfait, warm orange bread, fresh coffee and juice, bacon and stuffed pancakes! The suite was the Lady Palm Suite, and was nearly 900 sq ft. Two lovely rooms and private bath, with a gas fireplace. The price was much less than the blah hotels. And they have free parking! The food and the value can't be beat. My husband said "Hilton points be damned!" We will definitely return.
