Needed a good coffee so walked over to DD. Girls on the cash had awful customer service....complacent, rude and not a single "Good morning, how can I help you". That sets the tone! Coffee wasn't even that good.

Extremely efficient and friendly service. Great coffee and great MTO breakfasts. Not very much seating. One restroom, but it's clean.

Location: Ace placement. Beside the Downtown Historic District where, they do not have readily available doughnut, donut, availability. Great hours and open on weekends. Accessible via Grant St. and 6th and easy for anyone in wheelchair/ difficulty walking. You will not be able to park on the street to run in for your order. There is an ally behind Hotel Monaco that people use illegally for parking if this is more your style.

Staff/Service: Here is where we start losing stars. I like to call it a badittute (bad attitude.) It's contagious and I recommend if you have one, no matter where you work, you need to spread your wings and find something else in life. This place has a few badittutes but one guy's is very distinct. (See other reviews on shirt lifting) He looks as if the only energy he has is powered from the animosity towards the establishment he works for. Some of the other workers are ok but he really sets the bar for toxicity. So don't expect your sandwich made with love and a smile.. but hey, we are talking about a corporate food joint here.

Food: Here is where the stars keep falling out of the sky. I used to frequently visit this DD on the weekends to procure a donut, sandwich and apple juice. On the weekends the donuts get stale and lose their quality. I don't know if the protocol is to not make fresh or if they are trying to stretch out their depreciating supply, but don't expect a fresh-warm-bake. Another issue, tied in with both food and service, is the shutting down of equipment. I asked for sandwiches 1hr+ of closing time on multiple Sundays only to be told they closed down their oven. Their oven is a accelerated counter-top microwave but let's not get into pragmatics. Last the apple juice; they run out of stock of most beverages on Sundays. I take it all of their drink order supply, baking ingredients and oven-power is restored Monday mornings.

Facility: For being as frequented as it is, it stays clean. The table tops stay cleared of trash, the restrooms are usually free from messy keeping and the floors clear.

Overall: If you have to have a donut in this area.... checkmate. Don't expect anything cute or special, especially on the weekends. Try to get the staff to smile a bit, maybe it will create a social movement against corporate subjection. What do we have to do to get a Sheetz and Krispy Kreme in downtown Pittsburgh!

Stopped in for an am coffee. Service was quick and the order correct (one of the issues with Dunkin is the inability to tailor cream and sugar to one's liking)...this location got it right.

As it was raining outside, there was no line and lots of empty tables - but every free table in the main area had crumbs scattered on top. Food was fast and cheap - but the employees were talking loud behind the counter. Not the best experience.
