“Private”
Reviewed 14 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We have stayed in many B&B's around the country and like to try off the beaten path places. This is one of those. We enjoyed the seclusion. We had to make a food run, no food is here only a few outdated condiments left by others. There is a full kitchen, but bring anything you think you might need to cook. Getting to this little house is a challenge. We parked our truck in the area and walked to the house to figure out where to park and get into the house. This is a small 1 BR house on 2 levels, the bedroom with only DOUBLE bed and a 1/2 bath is upstairs and you have to go down a very narrow stairway to get to the level with the shower. Kitchen and living room are also down stairs so if you are older and don't do stairs, or have very small kids, this place not for you. The layout is because it's build into a steep hill, which makes it really kinda neat. We loved the patio off the living room and sat out there enjoying the rain. VERY ROMANTIC The back yard is great, totally 'back to nature'. I do have some allergies and there was allot of moisture in the home so if you are allergic to mold, this place may bother that. We keep a dehumidifier going in our basement and I think that would benefit this adorable little house greatly.

“Quaint cottage in a wooded neighborhood that is only a short trip to downtown Pittsburgh areas.”

We rented the cottage while in Pennsylvania for the 2016 US Open and found it to be very convenient to the tournament location and all of the tourist activities we were interested in. It had all of the amenities to make it a very comfortable vacation spot. One surprise was that we found several very good restaurants in downtown Carnegie.

“Not only "comfy-cozy,"...private and peaceful too.”

My friend and I stayed at Laura's cottage and found it to be very relaxing. Yes it is "comfy and cozy" like the owner claims. The cottage was clean. We found it to be very peaceful in a private location. You'd think you were in the mountains, yet just a couple miles away from downtown Pittsburgh. I would recommend this this cottage. I hopoe to be back visiting in the near future.

“Watch out for those hills”

Laura was great to work with. She was forthright about maneuvering around the hills and steep places in Pittsburgh too. Very helpful. In fact, when the wi-fi didn't work, she did a round of calls to Verizon and put us in touch with someone who worked us through it. The cottage was cozy, as promised. Nice town as well.

“Let's Roll Pittsburgh!”
Reviewed 18 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

This was a great alternative to hotel/B & B stays we have tried in the past. Plenty of room for us and didn't need much to make it a comfortable stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet with no disturbances this is your ticket. This cottage will give you a real feel for the rolling hills of Pittsburgh. It is built on a steep hill on a hilly street in the hilly part of town. You would not expect a family of four deer sitting in the yard on a Saturday morning but we have pictures to prove it to everyone. Luxury is left to interpretation by each person but a good value this definitely is! Thanks Laura for the farm fresh syrup and eggs. Yes we would consider coming back again.
