“No Visit to Pittsburgh is Complete without a Trip to the Strip District”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

This is the quintessential Pittsburgh experience. We live outside the city, but always look forward to our occasional visits to "The Strip." Early morning on Saturday is busy, especially at wonderful places like the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company. The cheese counter there is an experience in itself. The Strip offers lots of locally-owned restaurants, bakeries, ethnic grocery stores, markets, and a couple art galleries. If nothing else, go for the experience. Need Steelers gear? This is the place to get it (lots of street vendors).

“Great Food and a Dash of Old Time Pittsburgh”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

One of the last places in Pittsburgh you can hear a dozen languages being spoken as the old timers still have a lot of influence over this great place. Lots of delicious food and neat stuff to buy. This open air market is the essence of old Pittsburgh, well worth the visit.

“Love the Strip District”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

There are several restaurants in the strip, but our two favorites are Rolands for seafood, Pizza or sandwiches and Delucas' for breakfast.

The strip is also the place to go to get your Steelers or Penguins items. Saturday and Sunday mornings the vendors set up along the strip to sell their merchandise.

There are also many local shops.

Always enjoy the Strip District
