“The "OTE", with a bar as big as a boat!”

The Octoraro Hotel and Tavern has been masterfully remade into a very nice establishment. The one owner we have spoken to twice is very cordial towards his guests.

They have a very good wait staff and hostesses that are very attentive to the patrons.

There menu is small, but is well suited to the sports bar branding. There are a mix of high top tables and traditional tables. The bar is 52 feet long and has a number of flat panel T.V.s for easy viewing.

There are also 4 pool tables with plenty of room for multiple games and players.

So far we have had the cheese steak, Hornet burger, and meatball sub. We also have had the crab dip appetizer which was excellent.

Prices are very reasonable, the place is very clean and the personnel are very pleasant.

Go to the "OTE" (the H and L of the Hotel sign are out) and have a great time.

We'll definitely return!

This place recently reopened after a fire shut it down. It is in a great location, and looks very nice inside - with a beautiful bar area, low and high seating, and pool tables in the back. Hubs & I stopped in for a drink and to check it out as we were passing through Oxford. The beer was reasonably priced, although it is all bottles at this point - they do not have a tap system in place yet, which seems odd to me, but I assume that will be coming soon. We ordered some food since it was suppertime, and that's where we were really disappointed. The cheesesteak was said to have a marinara sauce, but it really tasted more like a light BBQ sauce - not what I was expecting or particularly liked. It came with a side of beans, which were average, and a bag of local chips. We also ordered the broccoli bites, which were a fried appetizer - we didn't know that they had cheese in them - again, not what we were expecting, or liked. I would like to give this place another chance, because it seems like a great place to stop in for a drink, and I'm hoping the food will be better next time.

The exterior still needs to be finished and who knows which door to use but the interior looks beautiful. Best hamburgers in town with very friendly staff.

We dined on First Friday at the Ote and found it to be a great experience. The server was prompt and friendly. They do not take reservations at this time, but they accommodated our party of 6 straightaway. The drinks were good and the food was fresh, well prepared and served in just a few minutes. I recommend any of the burgers and one of our party really loves their wings.
Some might call it a dive, but it is certainly not that.
Its a fun restaurant in a nice little town that has reinvented itself as a mini destination.

fyi, the Restaurant will be re-opening in 2016! Most likely by March. The building is currently under renovation.
