My wife and I had a very nice one day stay at this inn. Very spacious suite with comfortable bed and very quiet as well. Large property in a suburban area but had a secluded feel where we stayed. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Nice restaurant and pub at this inn. The breakfast was good with hot and cold options. We will definitely return in the near future.

We found this hotel on Travelzoo with a very attractive weekend package. From the photos, it seemed a typical Bucks County B&B - elegant brown fieldstone buildings, lovely grounds, restaurant on premise, and a very bucolic and pastoral setting in the PA countryside. The grounds are in fact quite attractive, and give the feel of being in the countryside. But in fact, the hotel is in the middle of a very suburban area, with a major highway with endless strip malls, petrol stations etc on each side. That was a shock, but still acceptable. The grounds on entering were equally appealing, with an ambience far removed from the bustling roads just blocks away. We were in one of the outlying buildings, an historical setting itself, with a lovely porch overlooking the garden, and close to the restaurant and outdoor seating area.

Still great. Entering the room however was like being transported into an entirely different hotel. The décor, layout and atmosphere were far more reminiscent of a budget chain hotel then an upscale "Bucks County" Country Inn. The room was extremely basic, with typical budget hotel furnishings; even that would have been OK except that the room carpet was a disgrace: stained everywhere, like something from a cheap roadhouse. Having lived in Asia, and married to an Asian, we always remove shoes on entering even a hotel room. But the feel of the carpet beneath your feet was such as to make us immediately put the shoes back on. The room was certainly not dirty, but that carpet should have been changed long ago. I can understand that guests may enter the room with muddy shoes from the garden, but that should be factored into the carpet cleaning schedule.

The dinner was actually quite good, but ended badly. The terrace had a great ambience, the menu selections were wide and varied, and the dishes we ordered were tasty and plentiful. However, we decided to end by each ordering the chocolate cake dessert, but after the generous appetizer and main course portions, we thought to share one and take the other slice with us. That was a problem: the waitress brought a box, but having already removed from the table the other dessert plate and both our forks, she merely picked up the cake with her hands and placed it into the box. We were speechless! Seeing this done at the table inevitably opened the thought of what else might they do in the kitchen! Needless to say, the (actually delicious) cake went straight to the trash.

I did mention this to the Front Desk on checking out the next morning; they too seemed flabbergasted, and told me the Hotel Manager would call me ASAP. I was pleased, as my goal was to ensure all servers be reminded of proper food handling regimen. Unfortunately however, despite their promise, I have yet to hear back (6 days later) from anyone from the hotel. That too sends a strong signal that either management does not care, or they felt I was lying and therefore did not warrant a response - but neither scenario is acceptable customer service.

We spent a long weekend at JAI while attending a friend's wedding. Our room was very comfortable, although not easy to get luggage up and down the very narrow staircase. The breakfast was a pretty standard buffet - adequate but nothing exceptional, except for the servers. They were very helpful and friendly. The grounds are nice, but right on the corner of two main roads. There is really no place to take a walk - the trail nearby is right on the main road. It was pretty peaceful and quiet, except for Saturday. If one is looking for a venue to have an event (wedding, reception, party) it is very nice. However if one is looking for a quiet place to be, Saturday is not it! There were two weddings happening the day we were there, and there was really no where outdoors that we could sit and not be in the path of all the traffic. Over all we were pleased with our stay.

Wonderful setting for any celebration, Staff are lovely, grounds are beautiful, rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, Two restaurants to choose from--one upscale, on Pub like.Good buffert breakfast included. Lots of quiet corners to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and company. Well worth a visit. Close to Downington and New Hope for points of interest. Easy drive from NYC, Phila, DC etc. Perfect for a business meeting, family event, small wedding etc,

Room Tip: Several separate buildings with assorted choices of rooms--depending on number of people in your party reserve a specific setting,

This stay was a gift from my daughter and son-in-law. My wife and I would have to say it was just a little bit above average. We ate dinner at their restaurant. It was seafood night. It all looked good, but we made the mistake of ordering something else, The meal wasn't really that good. We are usually very easily to please, but this was just mediocre at best.

Room Tip: Not much to do around there
