Musser's Historic Country Suites
Reviewed 15 September 2016

We recently stayed here for our second time and it was wonderful yet again. It's very clean. It's also super quiet (when the horses aren't clip-clopping by!). We were able to come and go as we pleased. It's in the heart of PA Dutch Country and exactly where we needed to be with regard to visiting my family and local attractions. I wish Barb would start serving breakfast again, but other than that, everything was great!

We keep coming back to this warm and charming place for so many reasons. The suites are large and comfortable with fully equipped kitchens. Everything is scrupulously clean and tidy. We sleep like babies in this peaceful setting! Barb Musser is so warm and gracious and we feel like old friends. The ample parking and a lovely garden are also appreciated. We can't speak highly enough about this wonderful refuge!

Thanks, Dorothy. It is such a pleasure to have you and John come each year. Returning guests year after year is by far our greatest compliment. Blessings, Barb Musser

What a great place to stay! My family stayed for 2 nights and it was so wonderfula nd relaxing. Barb is a doll and the Post Office Suite was perfect for my family. Very clean and comfortable. Street and area is very quiet, very clost to Strasburg. Would absolutley stay here again! So much better than staying in a hotel!

We had never been to the Amish country, this place made us want to come back soon. A family of 6 with small children can have a hard time finding good lodging. Miss Barb provided us the best place we have ever stayed. She treated us like family from the start. Kids loved the place and it is very kid friendly. A big back yard, and plenty of space in the house for them to play. The house is not far from any of the attractions, yet it feels like it is way out in the country. You really can hear horses clop by the house all through the day. A perfect place for a family. We will definitely be back soon.

Our 3-generation family of four spent two nights in the tastefully renovated Old Post Office Suite – after picking up our daughter from college outside Philly. We just loved the uniqueness of the space with the multi-level sleeping room, the well-equipped country kitchen, the private bathroom and the historic nature of the building. I really loved waking up in the morning and looking out the small window of the sleeping loft to see the lush back lawn and garden outside below. The building is on a small country road, meaning that we frequently heard and saw Amish families passing by in their horse-drawn buggies.

The beds were all very comfortable (and could have slept another 2), and Barb keeps the place very clean, and welcoming. Barb was extremely helpful during the reservation process and throughout our stay. Also, there is internet and A/C. (There is a spacious lounge/library/common room where we could also have overflowed into – it is available for use by both units.)

We spent Sunday morning enjoying the Lancaster countryside visiting the town of Lititz (about 40 minutes away) – including the Chocolate Café (try their Turbo Mocha!), and the Cherry Acres barn-wood furniture store. In the afternoon we drove through farm country to visit the majestic Longwood Gardens and followed it up with a delicious dinner at one of Kennett Square’s many restaurants (just a few minutes from Longwood) before driving about 30 minutes back to the Musser’s in New Providence.

Bottom line – if we are in the area again, we would go back in a heart beat!! This was a special place to spend family time together.
