Owner description: Perched on a rock above a gushing waterfall, this historic house was built for a Pittsburgh family by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1930s, ingeniously designed to blend harmoniously into the tranquil and beautiful woods around it.

I did the in depth tour and I feel it's the only way to see this magnificent house. Our guide Ken was simply great. He gave you so much information without you feeling like it's rehearsed. He takes you on this wonderful journey that makes you want to stay longer. Truly made the house come to life. A must for anyone.

I've been to a few Frank Lloyd Wright house, and they are all interesting in their own way but this house it just really special even if you don't care at all about FLW. If for no other reason that a lot of engineers at the time though it would fall down. Obviously after 80 years it has not. They give a lot of tours and they are very organized about it. Make reservations if you can. Also, when there try to walk around the property as much as you can. It's beautiful. There is a mile walk that we did. Their gift store is especially fun. I could have done without the fundraising pitch at the end but oh well.

A bit off the beaten path but well worth the journey. The day we toured the weather was icky - cold and constant rain. Even in bad weather this was a great place to visit. The house is interesting and stunning. The guides are informative. Given the opportunity I would go back in a split second for another look around and tour.

Another item checked off the bucket list. A bit off the beaten path but an easy drive nonetheless. Place is very organized and they have the tours down to a science. Groups of 10 are led through the house at about 15 minute intervals. Tour guide was quite knowledgeable. Many steps and rises to negotiate along with tight-ish pass throughs. At conclusion of the tour you can walk to the "view" to take the classic photo of the house. From there it is a bit of a hike back to the tour center, all uphill many stairs. May present a problem for some. Did not see any signs for handicap patrons so would suggest calling beforehand to see if they make any special arrangements.

Tour center is quite modern, nice cafe, clean bathrooms and a stocked gift shop.

My companion was a bit uncertain as we planned this trip but we were both blown away by the house and the quality of the tour. It is a bit out of the way which led to his trepidation but it was well worth. Definitely walk to the viewing spot and ask questions. The elements of the house are amazing and the manner in which they give tours is outstanding.
