Our first time visiting Lancaster from Canada & we lucked out finding Carr's Restaurant! Bernie our server was awesome! He made us feel very welcome which just added to a really fun evening. The food is excellent...the best steak I've ever had...& dinner was at a relaxed pace, considering the place was packed! We could see why...Carr's Restaurant is amazing!

Renovated and expanded within the last year this chic venue in downtown Lancaster offered us a lovely night out for fine dining. The new decor is modern and inviting. Our group of four was happy with our food. The crab shrimp cocktail served in gazpacho tasted crisp and fresh with a wonderful pop of flavor. Salads were cold and crisp. Small plates of lamb meatballs and grilled meatloaf were flavorful and delicious. My entree of mushroom ravioli was a bit under cooked and the shrimp that I added were a bit overcooked making them chewy. However that being said the flavor was very nice. It did seem that the serving time between our ordering and the time that the main course arrived was quite lengthy. The biggest concern of the evening was the noise level upstairs which had us all leaning forward in order to hear the conversation at our table. It would be prudent for the owners to pursue some method of acoustic controls. If you prefer a more quiet environment ask to sit downstairs.

Prior to going to the nearby Fulton Theater, our accompanying friends suggested this intriguing establishment. We sat at the bar and were attended to by the very knowledgeable bartender Jake. Not only did he have insights into mixology but Jake also made great recommendations from the menu. The attentiveness that he provided, and fun conversation, enhanced the dining experience.
I had one of the specials which was filet tips with elephant ear pasta in a delicious red sauce. It was very enjoyable.
It was also unique that the kitchen can be easily viewed. I made sure to compliment the chefs on our meals.
Carr’s is a great spot before going to a nearby performance. They are attentive to accommodating a timeline.

We were in the area for business and decided to try Carr’s.

The atmosphere and interior was inviting - with staff attentive and helpful in seating us promptly.

The menu had a good assortment of pleasing offerings. The servings were not skimpy in size - we even split a chopped salad and it was very filling for two! The farrow and seasonal vegetables was a great choice - I loved it- and my husband was very happy with his eggplant entree.

We did not order dessert as we were pleasantly full - but we will return and try the yummy offerings.

We went to Carr’s to celebrate my sister’s birthday, while in Lancaster. Our waitress, Eleanor, was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The bartender helped us to select a great craft beer. We had the special meatballs of the day (chicken and bacon today) served with crispy bread as an appetizer. They were delicious! We all enjoyed our entrees of quiche with shrimp, asparagus, and Brie and a fresh green salad. Everything was yummy! We celebrated the birthday with chocolate creme brûlée, which we devoured! Eleanor brought the dessert to the table complete with a candle and happy birthday written on the side of the plate with chocolate syrup. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area!! Super find!!
