The Inn at Jim Thorpe is a beautiful historic building located in a quaint tourist area in the Poconos. We loved the hotel and gracious service. Our only disappointment for our visit was that lots of local things to do, shops, and restaurants go to weekend only hours after Labor day, and NONE of the info or websites warns you about that. We could have chosen to visit on a weekend instead of at the beginning of the week if we had known.

Hi Carla-
Thanks for the comments!
Glad you had a nice stay with us.
Yes, as far as some shops, etc being closed-that does happen after Labor Day for some things. As far as I know, all restaurants are open weekdays but some take a day or 2 off during the week. Local businesses are very independent. Jim thorpe.org is the best bet for open and closed hours for businesses. They all should list their hours on there, but some may not, which certainly is frustrating.
Hope to see you again sometime soon!
Sincerely,
Dave

We stayed at the Inn overnight to celebrate our Anniversary on Sept 5th and we loved the Inn. Lovely exterior and our room was old, yet updated with all the modern amenities you could want. Keurig coffee maker with pods, microwave, refrigerator and a window unit a/c that worked fantastic (It was 90+ degrees that day!) Nice size room also (we had a deluxe King) with a view of the street below, which was lovely at night. Even the lobby had nice touches, a large glass decanter in the lobby filled with fresh fruit water, and coffee in the morning. There is also a nice restaurant attached to hotel serving drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you get a $7 voucher per person for breakfast the next morning.
You can walk to everything from the location which is great, and I advise anyone visiting Jim Thorpe not to miss the Asa Packer Mansion tour and the Old Jail Museum Tour!

We stay at the inn at least once a year and it's always been a great experience. The inn's employees are always very friendly and accomodating. There's something about the inn and the town that makes you never want to leave. My fiancé and I love the inn and the town so much that we are going to get married on the balcony next June!

This hotel surpassed my expectations by far. We had just stayed at the Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem PA for Musikfest so expectations are pretty high. The Hotel is beautiful! It is clean and has such a wonderful inviting charm. The staff was delightful at the front desk, the pub, the restaurant, and management. Clearly pleasing their guests is top priority. We stayed in a standard queen room. It was clean and neat and charming. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and modern but still charming and the shower was super, a bonus in my book. Preferably, I would like a bigger room and will book a deluxe king next visit, but this was perfect for our one night stay. The pub is cozy and comfortable and our bartender, Tricia, was great. She was attentive and funny and such a pleasure, We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. Staff was attentive and accommodating, we moved seats a few times due to some temperature and logistical issues, but the staff was awesome and the manager was so helpful. Our food was excellent. Wonderful choices with high quality organic and locally grown options, which I love. Late night at the Pub was lively and fun! Breakfast the next day was also excellent and the staff was consistent in being attentive and helpful. I really didn't want to leave to be honest. I can't wait to go back and am already looking to book our next stay.

We did a day trip to Jim Thorpe before we did some mountain hiking at the Delaware Water Gap. Just enough to stretch our legs out and do some shopping. We came upon The Inn while strolling this great town. We had a very good experience in a nice comfy room, good burgers and service. The prices on the menu were very reasonable for the quality of food offered. The building also has a Pub and porch to relax on. Brandon was our server and he was right on with suggestions in town even though he is a transplant from Oregon...Go Ducks!
