We found this place in the RACV guide. The manageress was very friendly and helpful even getting us a discount at a local restaurant. The view of the "heads" outside our window was spectacular. The room itself .was very basic but nonethe lless comfortable and only cost $125 for 3 adults and a child. The motel is being modified over winter but I can't complain for an overnight trip.

Website for this motel is definitely not what you find when you get there. We thought we would stay in Nambucca Heads on our way back to Sydney from Queensland for 2 nights. This is the most appalling motel we have ever stayed at. Has not seen a coat of paint or a renovation in what looks like 50 years, even though we had been told they had just done a major renovation. No screens on the windows or sliding door and the screen in the bathroom had a hole the size of a football in it. Cockroaches the size of 50 cent pieces had made themselves at home. Storm during the night, so there was a pool of water in the room even though the door was locked all night and the bed closest to the door was wet. For health reasons the Council shoud either have his motel bulldozed or owners made to renovate. We were charged $145 a night this motel not even worth $20 a night. Needless to say we checked out the next morning ONE NIGHT WAS BAD ENOUGH.

This place was quite expensive ($115) and the quality of the room was TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.......Decore looks as though it hasn't been touched in at least 25 years, carpet was a horrible orange/brown colour. Ants all thru the bathroom, bathroom sink was falling away from the vanity (at least a 2cm gap). Super-thin and hard toilet paper. 30cm TV that didn't even work! Extension cords pinned to the walls to power a ceiling fan in the other room, had a swimming pool but didn't look usable - there was a thick layer of sand and dirt at the bottom of the pool.........and the list goes on. Sorry, but I lay awake most of the night to scared to move in the bed. Thought there was bed bugs too - I was itchy all night!!!

Stayed one night on a motorcycle tour. I didn't do any investigation beforehand so it serves me right I guess. Old and tired, not a nice place at all.

I stayed in a room on the bottom floor and was awoken all hours by strange noises from above.

Avoid if possible.

I recently booked this Motel as an overnight stay between Brisbane and Sydney. Rates were cheap but that's about as positive as it gets. The place is in need of a complete makeover. Had to get the owner to show us how to lock the front sliding door so that we could go out-it took him at least 6 attempts. The pool was dirty. The rooms are not air-conditioned and with no screens on the sliding door made it a very hot night. Pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else!
