Have waited for years to get back here and was disappointing. Staff however were lovely.
The park is getting a bit dated and the pics on the website were not a good indication of how things actually are.
The pool area needs an overhaul, especially the pool bottom, it needs identifying strips on stairs and beach areas in the pool. Saw so many older people fall into or within the pool as you could not see where stairs and slopes started or finished. The second thing was the white filter popups through the pool, multiple stubbed toes and bruised feet, especially for kids because of this. Also the broken tiles, light fitting inside the pool and filter covers were also a hazard. The waterslide pool also needs more water, two children both with grazed backs from hitting the bottom.
We did have a good stay however, although the prices are extremely high for what you get, especially in the villas. Merimbula as always was lovely.
Worth noting are the grey nomads that took over the pool, BBQ area and camp kitchen at night. I understand you have been coming here for years, so have we. We however dont ask people to leave areas because we want the space for us and our mates. They even took food off a bench and packed it up. Ur lucky it wasnt my husband you tried that on. You do not own anything, and im damn sure we have paid more and spent more here in my 5 years than you in your 20 years! So pull Ur heads in and share. You were poor examples for our children.
Also the number of visitors on weekends in the pool was ridiculous. Overheard 2 mums saying how they come up from Pambula to use the pool as they dont have to pay, like at the aquatic centre!!! Ummm im paying 200+ a nite and Ur swimming in the pool???? Oh and 7 kids between them. Seriously, no bands no swim? Thats what our kids were told!
Unfortunately we wont return, thats not the staffs fault, we simply were disappointed. There were so many rules that applied to us paying the big bux, but apparently I could have paid less and done more.
Others around the park were also questioning standards, and also Big 4 ratings. I

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Trip Advisor, we value all feedback as it allows is to keep improving our park. I am sorry that your expectations were not met this time.
In your review, you thought that the park was run down which is very surprising as we have spent a lot of time and money remodelled the BBQ /Camp kitchen, rendered and repainted all the external brick buildings, put in a brand new Splash Water Park with new BBQ area, resurfaced the roads around the cabins and made new compounds for the rubbish bins, painted outside most of the cabins and revamped the gardens. We thought it looked pretty good.
You also mentioned the pools need work. This is on the work schedule for this winter for this year. We had the toddler pool resurfaced last winter but unfortunately, bubbles appeared which meant water was getting underneath the surface. We asked a fibreglass expert in for his opinion. On his advice we kept the pool open not to upset the guests as nothing could be achieved until this winter coming. The surface will have to be ground off and dried and resurfaced again. Yes it does look unsightly but a empty pool with 'do not enter' tape around would be worse, at least it can be used on a hot day.
I am really sorry for the behaviour or our guest, that is unacceptable. i wish that you brought this to our attention so we could speak to them.
I can assure you that, other than our staff and their children, we do not allow locals to use the pool area for free. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do allow day visitors in but limit it to 5 families. On the Saturday we did have a birthday party, however, that is limited as well to 3 hours max and they pay as well.
Thank you again

Staff were very helpful. We were upgraded to a pool side villa as the cabbin we were allocated did not have parking for our boat. Even though I had requested a cabbin with boat parking when booking 10 months before our trip. This was resolved very quickly much to our satisfaction. Park is very well maintained with clean facilities. Pool & splash park area is great kids had a ball. We did stay mid season & park was very cramped would not stay here in peak season due to lack of space.

We stayed here just one night. We relocated a campervan from Sydney to Melbourne. Amenities block was big and clean. We thought $46 fee was a high price to pay for just a shower and some power. It was close to the town centre although there was not much open on a Saturday afternoon.

We had a wonderful, relaxing 8 nights at Big 4 Tween Waters.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
We stayed in the 3 bedroom poolside villas which were spacious, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Very close to all the activities of the Splash Pad, Pools, Jumping Pillow, Rec Room and Bbq's. The kids had a fantastic time.
The park is easy walking distance to the beach, shops and the Fishpen.
We can't wait to get back there again next year!!

Room Tip: Best position in the park are the cabins beside the pools.

Very friendly staff and campers with mainly families staying in the cabins and caravans. Terrific beach access and a one minute walk to the lake with bridge to visit the resident seal. Although the the park was at full capacity the water slides, pool and splash pad were never busy. No road noise was great as was the camp kitchen and the crab races/ art activities were great for the kids. Was tough going in the Islander cabin for 7 nights with 4 people. The limited space in the islander cabins and outdated/budget style was always re-iterated from the lovely honest staff from booking.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our park. I totally agree that the Islander cabins are a stretch for 7 nights for 4 persons. However, they do give the option of a cheaper cabin for those clients not wanting to pay the larger cabin prices. They are also on the list for an upgrade in 2016. Thank you again
