My parents 50Th Wedding Anniversary dinner was long planned. We are a small family of 8, so we booked a private dining room. We were all dressed up and so looking forward to our special night. We arrived on time, no staff to greet us - we found the room, table set, no candles lit and no one to take a drink order. We sat and waited and then someone poked there head in the door and dashed off - the elusive and arrogant Matrie 'D!!
The food was fantastic, the young waiter who served us and did his best was professional but when you wait 1 hour betwwen courses the gloss goes off the evening. Three times we had to chase down staff serve us and at the 45 minute mark waiting for dessert (and we were not waiting on a souffle!!) we were tired and had enough. We asked the Matrie 'D what he meant by 'Its coming - we have a wedding for 120 people you know!!" That was the sinking feeling we all had when we knew that are special party didn't matter, they simply didn't care.
To top it all off we then had to track down staff to pay the bill - even then we had to wait.
Great food, lovely young waiter let down by very slow Kitchen ruled by a rude and arrogant Matrie 'D.
