Open this week.
The old pub seemed to seep away having lost heart. The new venture set up by youthful enthusiasts is a thoughtful project designed to provide fresh ideas and fill some gaps to revive the spirits of the village. Not sure that they had to change the name. The bowling alley has been cleared to make space for a community shop and cafe and the restaurant which seems to replace the pub business is on the cusp of fine dining. Since there is nowhere like or even approaching that in Torpoint it could take off. They have set aside a room upstairs as a private dining room for about 20 or for twice that standing up.
It's all very fresh. Good luck to it. Hope it gets to be relaxed enough to retain a hint of village boozer.
