After a much anticipated visit to the Trewellard Arms, we were not disappointed. The vegetable curry and fish and chips we ordered arrived quickly and were of an excellent standard. A great selection of beverages were also available. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. A much enjoyed visit and highly recommended.

It was a wet and foggy August afternoon, we were searching for food and beer in a family friendly environment. The Trewellard fitted the bill perfectly! Easy parking, excellent choice of real ales, a kids menu and an excellent sharing platter of crab, prawns and smoked salmon. Add to this a welcoming and friendly host. Everything a pub should be!

First impressions, smelt a bit "funky" as we sat we noticed the seated were old and tired with stains on the seats! We hadn't ordered yet but noticed this pub had been awarded a CAMRA award several years earlier so we ordered.

Well, never judge a restaurant by its decor! Food was superb, I had the lamb burger, one had the vegetarian curry and anther the beef curry. There were seven of us and we all thought the food was amazing.

So in summary, great food, lovely service by the lone waitress but this place needs some updating and refurbishment.

Went here after a long, hard walk. Was quiet but extremely rude service from the woman- we were all shocked. Food was terrible too, had barbecue chicken and felt like I was eating a blood sauce. Awful.

Our night began with a lovely drink in the sun in the outside seating area. Throughout the evening the staff were excellent and very attentive, especially the waitress who was clearly rushed off her feet on a particularly stressful evening. The food we ordered was slightly disappointing and probably not worth the price we paid, however we were told that there was a medical incident in the kitchen so we were probably just unlucky and chose the wrong night to visit! Due to this we didn't comment about the food at the time. Next time we're in the area we will definitely give this place another go, as it is clearly a pub with lots of charm!
