We have not been to a BandB for a number of years but what an excellent place to restart. Peter and Lisa were especially welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. They gave us some great tips for eating out and how to make the most of our visit to the Eden Project.
Our room, the Gold Room, was spotless and very comfortable with a lovely drinks tray. The shower worked well and the toiletries a nice touch. The breakfasts were very good and kept us going for most of the day. These were taken in one of the nicest breakfast rooms we have eaten in. The views were fantastic and there still remains part of the old mill.
Sadly we did not have time to use the pool, but it did look very clean and inviting.

We stayed here for 3 days in July whilst travelling around Devon and Cornwall. This is a superb little guest house, very friendly and accommodating. Lisa and Peter made us feel at home with tea/coffee and scones on arrival and plenty of local knowledge. The place was spotless and bedrooms very roomy with home comforts. The breakfast was more than enough to keep you going all day with plenty of choice and everything freshly cooked. Good location for lots attractions including the Eden Project.

We stayed here in early July, mainly to visit the Eden Project which is close by. This is a first rate guest house, with the owners providing a warm welcome (tea and scones when we arrived) and comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor. There was a good choice at breakfast, all freshly cooked to order. Lovely local produce (the bacon was especially delicious). The dining room features the old mill wheel, and a view of St Austel's Bay in the distance. There is a lounge area in this large room, where you can sit and read or watch TV (sets also provided in the bedrooms). There is a outside pool (though the weather was not warm enough for a dip when we stayed). There is a lot to see locally and the owners are very helpful at providing local knowledge. A car is essential - it's a few miles outside St Austells - not a problem for us as we enjoyed being a little way outside the town.

This was a nice place to stay and very convenient for the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the room was serviced daily to a high standard. The owner was knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was plentiful and Lisa was helpful to us on the last day when we needed to leave earlier than the normal breakfast time when she left us croissants in our room the night before. I would definitely recommend.

Lisa & Peter offered a very warm welcome to their home from the start. After a very long drive we were welcomed with a tea and cake. Our room was spotless and the breakfast menu was excellent. Both Lisa & Peter have an excellent knowledge of the local area including restaurants and places to visit.
