Visited with family. Food is a bit over priced for normal pub grub. Staff in children soft play are very slow and not very friendly. Service and bar very slow staff. Reason I gave 3 stars is that they are allergies aware which is helpful. Only soft play for children in Hayle apart from very expensive paradise park.

After travelling for 5 hours we were ready for a stop and something to eat. Child's meal and chips that looked like the dog ends and looked like they had been previous half eaten. Rock hard and just a mess on the plate. Husband had sausages and mash which he said were 'Ok' so have no idea if they were nice or not. Charged for my toddler daughter to go in the playbarn which is fine as I was going to only to realise she was only allowed in a small section (yet again that's fine as she is only 2). But then seeing signs when walking out that she was exempt from paying as she was under the height limit however when we went to the desk to check in I was told she had to pay. So in all overpriced microwave food (I can only assume) and a terrible meal to start our holiday.

Staying at premier inn next door so thought would be handy as late to watch World Cup game.
Staff good
Prices good
Food shocking
Started with pate. Just cheap pate and brown toast. No garnish. No colour. No presentation. Bland tasteless pate.
Onto the main.
Lasagne. How can you go wrong.
Well by having practically liquid sauce and rubbery pasta. Just awful. Tasted like yesterday’s with a spoon of tomato juice poored over.
I really can’t fault waiting staff. They couldn’t be more helpful.

Went here as we were staying at the Premier Inn next door. The hotel receptionist informed us that last food orders were 10 pm, when we arrived at 950 pm we were told by Dave (the restaurant manager I think) that last orders were 945 pm and he would not serve us. The next evening, a Sunday, out of necessity rather than choice we returned. We asked one of the servers what time last food orders were ‘Its 10 pm every night’ was the reply!

Cheers Dave.
