We pay a visit to Hilltop Farm Shop every time we travel down to North Cornwall. This time we stopped in for a cream tea which was wonderful. Lovely fresh fruit scones and generous pots of tea. We also bought some delicious local products from the shop including a bottle of red wine made locally which we thoroughly enjoyed. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We came here for lunch on the recommendation of the lady cleaning the holiday house as it wasn't quite ready. Excellent quality food with good potions. Prices like a mid range pub.

This is not a farm shop, in real farm shop terms. They sell a few meagre goods, such as a few spuds, peppers, root veg, and vacuum packed frozen beef & chicken, chilled bacon and pork, plus some cook at home pies. There's a few shelves of the usual touristy type preserves and biscuits, and what I hear, has lovely food in the cafe. We're staying nearby and fancied some salad and meat for a barbecue, but no chance here.

A gross misrepresentation saying it's a farm shop and cafe, should be advertised as a cafe, with perhaps 'shop' in very small words....

hi louise
im really sorry but a few meagre goods as you put it is a little unfair,
we have a huge range of fresh salad items delivered 6 days a week, we have almost everything you can think of for salads, locally grown cucumbers, locally grown lettuce and mixed salads leaves all types of tomatoes ,pea shoots, etc i could go on with a real long list of fresh fruit and veg.
we have a delivery of fresh bread and cakes daily 7 days a week.all of our meat is delivered weekly from animals that are born reared and butchered within 30 miles of our premises, but yes we do freeze it. in the chiller we have a huge range of fresh pork products from your normal sausages and bacon to flavoured belly strips and gammon joints, again born reared and butchered locally, jams preserves and chutneys all made locally. the cook at home pies as you put it is actually our range of GLUTEN FREE frozen products, in our deli counter there is a whole range of locally made ready to it pies ,pasties etc. and yes we do have a few touristy bits for the tourists, but again it is all locally made.
regards
gary
