Stayed here for two nights, and it was amazing. Had a three course dinner here on the second evening, and there are few words to deacribe how much I enjoyed it. The same goes for breakfast.
The room we were in was beautiful, extremely clean and welcoming.
The hosting was brilliant too. Not too invasive but always there if needed. They are a great couple and team, and exactly what I hope for for hosts.
My partner and I will definitely come back, and it's somewhere I recommend for anyone who needs a relaxing break.

A great central position for us to explore the area, this hotel provided quite exceptional homely surroundings and comfort. From the four poster bed to the vast cooked breakfast options from full English to kippers and homemade breads and jams, we couldn't fault a thing. We only had dinner one night because we were out and about, but do wish we'd done so more often. The beef had been slow cooked in port for over seven hours!! Amazing with a good value Malbec.

In summary, this hotel is spotless, beautiful and homely with genuine people who care about your stay. It has now made us question why on earth we have previously tended to stay in branded faceless hotels. If you're visiting Cornwall look this place up.

We stayed 3 nights with our border collie dog during a prolonged Devon and Cornwall walking holiday and this was definitely the highlight.
Nigel and Sharon were the best hosts ever and provided delicious and unusual breakfasts. We also chose to have 3 course meals with excellent local Cornish wine in the evenings at amazingly reasonable prices.
Nigel entertained us by presenting each dish with a flourish and described all the local ingredients many of which were home grown.
Sweets made by Sharon were to die for and we came home with jars of home made marmalade amazingly using their own oranges grown in the conservatory.
We loved watching all the horses in adjacent fields and looking at pretty countriside for miles whilst eating.
We slept exceptionally well in the ultra expensive bed and relaxed in the two lounges one of which is dog friendly.
This is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet, amazing food and delightful hosts. They have transformed their house over the years and are so dedicated to ensuring that their guests have the best time possible.
We were really impressed and couldn't rate Pendragon Country House any higher!

Room tip: Excellent dog friendly room is the Pelleas Room with quick access to theclarge garden

Yes, we discovered a real gem here!
From the moment we arrived till the time we left 5 days later, we were absolutely delighted with the warm welcome and generous hospitality shown to us by the proprietors, Nigel and Sharon.
Nothing was too much trouble; everything we asked for was delivered with a cheery smile.
And the food!!! These two have their own specialisms - Nigel is savoury, Sharon is sweet (no pun intended) - and we can honestly say we've never experienced such consistency with gentle yet distinct, superb flavours and such excellent service.
You can have almost anything you wish for. Stunning breakfasts to suit any taste (including scrumptious Cornish kippers!), tea in the snug lounge, a very well stocked bar, wonderful dinners prepared to your own specification, a modest wine list which nevertheless contains some quite exceptional wines, very professional service and all in a lovely old house in pretty grounds and stunning views!
The bedrooms are in the older style with luxurious, comfortable beds and the usual en-suite shower, etc and facilities. Very comfortable and even a welcome glass of sherry upon arrival.
The two of them are also a mine of useful information to help and advise on places to go and things to see.
This is truly a delight for those of us who enjoy a degree of finesse and no piped music or fast food. Nigel and Sharon do not compromise on quality and that doesn't come cheaply, but the Pendragon Country House represents excellent value for money. Go on, treat yourself. It's sooo good!
For us, the memories linger on, aided by Sharon's home made Strawberry Jam and Marmalade that we brought home.
Nigel and Sharon: keep on doing it! You are good! We'll see you again sometime in the future.

Room tip: Check out the room dimensions on their website!
