Great little find, set right next to the coast. Children loved the gardens and small zoo. Cafe and facilities good, reasonably priced to get in too. You get a lot for your money.

My daughter and daughter had a great visit....until they saw the shop merchandise. Appalling sexist messaging...

Thank you for your review.

As previously communicated, the merchandise in question is a national product line and is sold by many shops, establishments and tourist attractions across the UK. However, we have taken your and your daughters comments into consideration and have decided to remove the items from sale.

Kind Regards, Marie

Lovely Hall, gardens and small zoo. Plenty of free parking. We visited on Easter Sunday, dropped lucky as there was some Medieval jousting on. Great entertainment!
The gardens are lovely with plenty of walks, one of which goes along the coast, there is a walled garden too and a small plants center which you can purchase from. There is a tea room although we didnt visit this. We had coffees to go from the small shop. The house is great to look round all the room settings are great. Would recommend this place to visit was very good value for money. Would like to visit again in the summer.

Visited on the Land Train on a very cold, wet and windy Easter Saturday, lovely restored hall with plenty of informative guides to tell you about history. Hall itself is quite small, so not a long visit, but there is a small zoo and the gardens would be lovely in nice weather. Cafe was pleasant and has a dog friendly area.
Hall irangery is licensed for weddings, so was not open and the entrance hall was not open whilst wedding photos were taken, had to be shown out of the rear entrance!

Loved visiting here. Will be better in the summer with all the flowers out, especially the rose garden. Interesting house. Would love to visit again if in the area.
